David and I had about the same thing happen to us trying to get out of Puerto Rico.  We were delayed in Puerto Rico for 8 hrs, got food poisoning, flew to Ft. Lauderdale for our layover and was told that we now had a 2 hr rest delay, however they did give us food vouchers....just what you want w/ food poisoning :(.  Flying sucks anymore!

Glad you all had a good time even with all the other issues getting there.

Hi all -

Morning has come and gone and it's about lunchtime already.  Should have been drinking water already, but haven't done that yet.  While I have a breather, I'll grab some.

QOTD -- Yes, I do like to camp but only if there's air conditioning involved.  Every  year for the past 10-12 years (except the past 2) I have taken my parent's camping trailer for a week alone (camper has air conditioning, normal bed/mattress, kitchen, bathroom).  It doesn't have to be far, just "away" -- I go by myself, nobody is allowed to visit me.  I just go and spend a week alone, relaxing and recouping.  I take a pile of books and maybe a craft project or two, but otherwise it's a week dedicated to doing nothing.  I think I need to pick up the tradition again and go for a week this summer.  :-)

I love taking time just for me.  We sold our fifth wheel because now we have the home in Interlochen.  I'm leaving Sunday for a month up there, by myself, unless someone comes to visit or hubby comes up on weekends.  Last year I was up there the whole month and when I got home I realized how much I missed DH.

Just about to go to lunch....boring today, lean cuisine salisbury steak, oh well, that's what I get for not planning yesterday.

Q:  I like the cottage, or if I have to go somewhere I'll camp but I need a bathroom and shower, if those aren't available, the nearest hotel. :)

QOTD I love to go camping. Tenting is my flair now. My motorhome is getting revamped. So I have to tent it. I take a queen size airmatress, /fan Microwave. grill to go, and load up my vibe and take off. I do like my creature comforts though. I do take the curling iron and plug it in the car and curl away'''''''''''!111.

Hey Carla,

A quick cup of hot choc, 2 bottles of water, planting hostas and off to my parent's house. Hospice came today, kind of an awakining for the other members of my family.  Needless to say things were very disfunctional there. I just have to leave, can't stand all of that crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QOTD-  Camping is cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it.  My husband and I have had 2 different campers. Our first one was an A- Liner ( solid state pop-up, shaped like a traingle). We had a blast in it, the only thing was wherever we went to camp, people were curious because they had never seen anything like it. We gave lots of tours and caught many people looking in the windows. Iget the creature comfort thing though girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told Jon I wanted my own sink to brush my teeth in and my own bathroom for times whe the campground got busy and their b-rooms got nasty.

Good evening!

I used to camp when the kids where little.  Than I just worked for many years.  Now the hubby and I have a livestock trailer with an 8ft living quarters.  So, I'm inbetween the ground and the Hampton Inn.

The bed isn't as nice as the Hampton put much beter than on the ground.  Also have a fridge and mictowave.  But there always seems to be an issue with something!
