Getting Excited

Hello to everyone.  I am rather new to the board - only posted a couple of times so far and basically just been getting the feel of the group.  It seems like a wonderful group of peope here and very supportive, I can see me spending alot of time on here.  I received exciting news Friday and wanted to share.  Dr Cudjoes office called Friday and set up my first consultation for July 13th!!!  And to make things even more exciting, after talking with the gal that called me and explaining that I already have my cardiac testing done and cleared and my psych consult is next week, she told me that I will be able to get my surgery done fairly quickly!!  I am so excited and can not wait for things to get rolling!!

great news michele!!  my surgery is tomorrow!!!!   hope yours gets schedule quickly... :)

Thanks Katie!!  I just read your post a couple of minutes ago, I will be thinking of you tomorrow as I walk into work.  I am so excited for you!!!

You won't believe just how much time you'll spend here.  The people here encompass a wealth of knowledge.  I've learned soooo much here, and met some really great people.
I hope you're going to be able to get a surgery date that's not too far off.  My date is August 10th.  I started the process and was approved in November.  The rest just took too much time for my liking, but it's sneaking up.  Only 50 days more.  That's ok, I'm working on getting my fats and carbs under control.  It's really hard.

Congrats Michelle!

Thank you to everyone for their warm welcome!!  I find myself somewhere between excited and anxious everyday anymore.  I can not wait until the 13th gets here so hopefully I can get a surgery date to start working towards. 
One of you had commented that I will find myself spending a lot of time here, which I had to laugh at because I already do.  Most times just reading all the posts and trying to soak up all the information there is here to learn before I have my surgery.
