Time to wake up, everyone!
Good morning! What's brewing in your mug? Decaf and black, as always. Looks like some areas stayed dry yesterday. May be heading for more storms later today and tomorrow. I see some 80's on the horizon. Enough weather for now!
QOTD-How are things going with you? Been stressed lately with little or no work. Trying to deal with it the best I can without resorting to food.  Biking and exercise helps. It's hard when you are home most of the time. Yesterday I did go help at the Blood Drive at church for a few hours, that helped.  Will be helping my daughter paint the nursery this weekend so she can start getting the furniture and everything else ready for the baby.  I'm so looking forward to meeting him next month!!
Well time to get ready for water aerobics.....
Have a good one

Good morning everyone.

Coffee was gone a while ago, finishing an atkins shake.  Then it is on to my crystal lite flavor of the day, not sure what it will be.  Yesterday was the popular purple smash.  It was nice to have something different for a change.

QOTD:  Things are getting better for me.  Called the insurance company last night to see what was holding up my approval for my physical therapy.  According to the rep I talked to last night, they had the approval last week when I put in the request.  I feel better this morning, not as sleepy as I have been from the meds the last few days.  The tingle feeing is lessening in my foot, so that must mean the meds are working.  I just have a real heavy feeling and it is still very sensitive.  Had a small stone in my shoe this morning and I thought it was something huge with a really sharp edge.  Hopefully this will pass too.

I was getting slack with my veggies, so I made a trip to my favorite fruit market on Sunday, and plan to go back tonight to restock.  The whole family is following my lead.  My son's request for breakfast this morning instead of cheese toast, bacon and chocloate milk was pineapple/strawberry fruit kabobs and mini pancakes with OJ.    My husband even ate carrots and a salad with supper last night.   Small steps thats all I can ask.

Lots of things to do today because I took tomorrow off to spoil myself.

Good morning!  My usual decaf with protein powder.

QOTD:  I'm doing good.  Divorce is final, but the house isn't settled yet, that is causing stress since we're both still living there.  I'm not sure if I'm staying or going, since he's not sure if his financing is going through and I'm a planner, so that definitely bugs me.  I have an offer in on a place that is pre-foreclosure, so it will take a long time before I hear about that - so I have that AND this house to decide about.

But other than that - life is good!  Rode my motorcycle to work today - what a gorgeous day!

Morning all,

Just finished my shake and vit's, on to iced tea in a few.

Q:  I'm feeling great, not much has changed in my health issues though, I have to have yet another CT scan next week and if the nodules are still in my lung I have to have a CT guided lung bx, man I'm hoping those little suckers are gone!, I do not want a lung bx, it does not sound like fun :(.  But the odd thing is I feel great, I'm exercising 4-5 x's a week, working in the garden...... but I guess we gotta know what's going on.  I still have the strange abdominal issues popping up occasionally, but my surgeon doesn't think It's anything to worry about, so until I have pain or the weird feeling comes back and doesn't go away, I'm just living my life!

Deb, my hubby works out of the house and I know what a struggle he has with food because of that, I feel bad for him.  I bring my lunch and maybe a snack to work and that's it I don't have anything else, no temptation, unless of course someone brings something in (which usually happens, but I just stay out of the kitchen) in fact by the time I got here today they already had chips and salsa on the table, ugggg!, but he's tempted by a whole house everyday!  It's tough, I feel for ya!

Have a great day all,

Edie

Decaf with sf vanilla caramel coffee mate.  Yum.
Today things are pretty good.so far.  I've finally realized that what I need to do in the evenings is just go to bed.  I do far too much eating after dinner.  That's where I get most of the carb intake.  Popcorn is my real downfall.  I can't seem to resist, no matter how much I try to talk to myself.  I hate going to bed so early tho because then the dogs have to go into their crates.  I'd rather sleep than eat so once I get into bed I don't want to get up and walk downstairs to eat something.  Now that I've confessed to this we'll see how I can do for the next few days.  I'll let y'all know.

Hi Jan!

Went to the Munson support meeting last Monday - it was good.  Next months meeting they are having a clothing swap and I think a patient panel.  Should be interesting.  Hope all is well with you!!

Jan -

I'm also a popcorn fiend.  I gave it up for a while right after surgery, but eventually I was able to add it back into my eating plan.  It's all a matter of planning and budgeting.  If I know I want popcorn tonight, that means I have to budget it into my meal planning for the day so it fits within my carb restrictions.  I can usually make it work when I need to ... and that means popcorn 2 or 3 nights a week and that's enough to keep the out-of-control-cravings at bay.

Hi all

It's 11am and I missed breakfast.  Oops!  I think I'll grab a quick yogurt since I'm not sure if lunch is going to happen on time or not.

QOTD -- I'm slammed at work at the moment and will be until the middle of next week.  Worked until 9:00 last night and back at it early this morning.  Got a print deadline that's looming and I'm at a standstill at the moment until I get info from other people.  So... the "how are things going" question is appropriate.  When things are crazy and hectic and stressful, I forget to eat.  Then I find myself at the end of the day with not enough nutrition. Going to try harder today to eat better and get the protein in.
