I kept waiting for someone else to post because y'all know how lazy I am!!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Metro Detroit.  What are you up to today?  I have to grocery shop and clean the house.  Not fun, but has to be done.

Not to be a negative Nancy, but what are your rants today?  Mine is myself.  Last night, I dumped and thought I was seriously going to DIE.  I have only dumped  a few times in 3 years, and can usually eat anything without any trouble (NOT a good thing).  I was giving Nick a snack and took 2 bites of it and that was it for me.  I laid on the couch cursing myself and making deals with God so the pain would stop.  I guess you live and learn, but I was so mad at myself because I caused it!

So what's on your mind today??

Well Good Morning All!

I'm just checking in for the first time so thanks Brenda . . . I don't have it in me to post first!

I just came home from the flea market - I can't believe how nice it is outside - going to go sit on the porch and have a glass of ice tea.  I have to work today at 3:30 so waiting to workout until just before my shower so I'm going to sit and be lazy.

I dump all the time - about 4 times a week - actually don't really know if it dumping but I had a stricture and had the surgery 5 times I think for me it's just that if I get busy talking I forget to chew small enough and it just gets stuck - the pain is terrible . . and when it passes I vow never to do it again . .  RIGHT!  I am one who can't eat everything, I can't do much sugar . . if any.  You'd think at how much I get sick I would be skinny as heck . . . not true.

Well I just I vented enough for the morning, going out to watch the crazies go by . . . . my neighborhood it very entertaining!

Enjoy the sunshine!

Oh you are not alone. I dump on anything with even the smallest amount of sugar. I can't find a "protein bar" I don't dump on. A trip through a Mickey D's drive through for an Ice Tea with Splenda almost killed me when the gal gave me sugared sweet tea and I didn't know it. Only one swallow sent me dumping and mine can last 4 hrs.

Good morning Michigan
I thought about starting the thread  but wasn't sure if its allowed. While still thinking  about it a Social worker knocked on the door with kids.  She is one who wont call before coming and she knows we don't take troubled teenage boys.   Steve says no to boys bigger than me who could hurt me what with the long hrs hes gone.   I know the rep of these 3 brothers and cant have them around my venerable babies  I have 3 under 6 right now.  Great excuse?  I'm only licensed for 4 kids.   She wasn't happy  but she could call first.
I guess condescending social workers who think they are next to the Big Man upstairs  is my rant for the day!
We are heading out for a picnic and some playtime  at the park in a bit.  gonna wear my babies out so they  nap along time!\
I don't dumb on sugar unless I drink a few swallows of  Mountain dew    but I really do on grease.  that's my big problem with dumping
 Have a great Sunday everyone

I think it's so great that you welcome the kids in to your home!

And, as far as starting a thread, anyone can.....we love it when someone new starts a morning "coffee" post.  Keeps things fresh!

Hey Everyone!!!

I have been up and at em since about 8. I am trying to get the house back to normal after our yard sale the last couple of days. So I am cleaning and catching up and doing laundry for sure. I am glad that the weather is nice. I am hoping to get out and work in the yard for a little while today to relax. My Mom will be here in a little while and we are going to see my Great Nephew.

My rant today is how freaking sore I am from moving furniture around for our yard sale. I am glad that I have the ability to do it now but man my back is killing me. I guess I am aging more than I thought I would. And I still have to move a loveseat from the basement. I am so over it. Also why do people tell you their life story when they come to your yard sale. One man came and told us how he is turning his house over to the bank because he didn't want to have to take care of it anymore.. He was telling us about his family and everything! Weird...
Also I wish that our animals could tell us what is going on. We have been seeing alot of cases lately where it is a mystery trying to figure out what is going on inside with them...and I wi**** was simplier so that we know where it hurts.

Okay that is 3 rants for today. I am sorry. Sometimes you just got to rant! LOL

Have a great day everyone!

Oh Suzanne, I just have to reply to your rants:

I absolutely hate dealing with people for garage sales.  I don't want to take your dirty $7 in pennies or have your kids use my bathroom or hear how poor you are.  Ugh.  I always make DH do that part.  I put stuff out and price it and he can deal with the crazies that think I should sell a DVD player for $1.00.

Also, I went on the paddleboat yesterday and my feet are killing me!  I had the strength and endurance to do it for long time yesterday, but today my poor feet are sore.

And lastly, I can relate about the pet thing.  (Please note, I am not calling my dear son a pet, so please don't think I am!)  Nick has been so sick the past few weeks and we just can't figure out what's going on.  That is the hardest part of raising a kid like him....you just have to guess and figure out when he's hungry or cold or bored, etc.  I imagine it's the same at your work.  You want to fix it but can't figure out how!!

So, you are not alone today!  :)

I am sorry that Nick has been sick. I know what you mean about kids though too. I visited my niece and Great Nephew today and she said he has been spitting up lately and just wishes that he could tell her where it hurts.

We had a case come in yesterday that we saw over a week ago that had been having trouble breathing. It is a 8 year old shepard... well it turned out he probably has lung cancer after taking an xray because of second hand smoke. The owners smoke ALOT! So I feel really bad for the dog and all this time we could not hear the cancer in his lungs but if it was pnumonia (I know I spelled that wrong) he would have been able to hear it.

Oh this time my yard sale was not that bad. We made a couple of hundred bucks.. Enough to pay for some work we are having done in the backyard... and the rest is being donated. I just want it gone.... I was in a purging mode!

This morning hubby and I went to the Farmers Market in Warren.  I was planning on going yesterday, in fact we did, only to find out it's on Sunday. :)  Bought strawberries, radishes, vidalia onions, carb free garlic dressing, gung ho sauce from the marines, tomatoes, and some homemade cinnamon raisin bread and hamburger buns.  Came home and cleaned everything and had a piece of cinnamon bread toasted.  I would normally have had 3-4 pieces of that toast, but I stopped myself at one.
My rant for today is why do people text while driving?  It's just so dangerous.  The person in front of us at a light was texting, the light turned green and they just sat there texting.(it was a male too)  Hubby was furious, he's not a patient man, and said if he was a cop he'd find a reason to pull them over to ticket them.  I don't go that far, but it does bug me.
Today we're going to Polish Village Cafe in Hamtramck for dinner with friends.  I've decided on Warsaw Chicken and sauerkraut and dill pickle soup.  The only thing real bad is the dill pickle soup, but I absolutely love it.
Hope everyone enjoys the sun today.
