Monday Morning Coffee
My son and I went last year and we walked all over the city.
I also hopped right on the ferris wheel inside the Times Square Toys R Us and wasn't even worried about breaking the seat! Traveling is so much easier when you're lighter!
Make sure to take lots of pictures!!
Once we are back, Steve & I are taking our sons (I have 2 and he has 1) to go camping over in Muskegon. I'm looking as forward to that as I am NY b/c I love to camp. If I hadn't lost some of this weight, I'd be stressing about what I was going to wear b/c nothing fit, etc...

I went to NYC when I was heavier, and I understand completely where you are coming from. I went on a work function, and one night included dinner at Tavern on the Green. It was so hard to find something to wear, thank god, I know how to sew, I ended up making most of my clothes for that trip because I could not find anything in my price range that was acceptable to wear. I just remember being so exhausted at the end of the day. If I knew then what I know now, I wish I would have had my surgery years earlier.
Enjoy yourself.

Thanks Pam!
I can totally relate. I still have a lot to lose, but man, what a difference going from a 24 pants to a 16 or 18 feels. At least that is somewhat normal. I remember at the end of last year Steve told me he had put in the RSVP for his work Holiday party. It's always at a nice place in Ann Arbor. I was sick to my stomach worrying about what I would wear, what people would think of me, etc. I went about 5 years ago, when I was 160 lbs ! Then, I gained all the weight back I had lost on the Adkins diet (134 lbs) and really it was making me stressed out thinking about going. Finally I finally ust talked to him about it and told him how I felt and why and he said we could skip it....bless his heart! But, how awful that we, as fat people, missed out on so much living just because of our weight!
I'm going next year for sure!!!!! In my teeny, tiny little black dress - LOL !!

Have a great time in NC, my cousin lives there and I love to go visit. Greatest people watching place in the world!
I know I am far from thin but going from a 30/32 to a 16 feels so good when your getting summer clothes out from last year and you don't have to worry about them being to tight but being to big!
Are you going to walk on the 26th in Bay City?

I am sure looking forward to a trip to NYC, I have heard it is an awesome place. Jon and I have talked about going there when we take our next trip to Maine to see his family. I have a cousin who lives there as well, she is in upper Manhatten. She has been there for 30yrs now as an interior decorator. She vows she will always be there, her and I have always had a running joke about filling a BIG pickle jar with change to fund my trip there.

Been busy today, secretary if off for the week, so I have some additional things to do.
I feel like I could use another cup of coffee. My new meds are leaving me drowsy, but hopefully will reduce the swelling of my nerve bundle and be worth it. He only wrote the script for 40 days, so lets hope it takes care of it by then.
QOTD - my raves would be fresh michigan produce. I have had my fill of fresh asparagras and can't wait for strawberries and the abundance of other produce.
My other rave today is my son, who is really pushing, at the age of 5, to eat healthy. I guess I am having a positive influence on my lil guy. We went out to dinner with some friends last night, and someone offered him a french fry and his response was "no thanks, we try not to eat too much fried food, its not good for you." The server asked him what he wanted to drink, he said lemonade, and paused and added "is there sugar in it?" she responed yes, and then he said "no thanks, I will have milk, we can't have alot of sugar." I smiled and snickered to myself.
Back to being busy and getting the rest of my water in today.
