Monday Morning Coffee
Just finished a cup of skim milk and I'm starting on my water. Today will be a long day here at work - working 16 hours today . . no walk for me.
I love driving to work with the sun in my face . . you can't help but smile.
QOTD-It has to be the sunshine! I got a good dose of Vitamin D weeding my flower beds yesterday - there is just something about that sun on your skin I love. And I also got strawberries this weekend I love to get them now when they are so sweet, I froze them, I use them in my protein smoothies . . . yummy!
Enjoy the sun!

Rave: Father in law is in heaven!! All is good.
Thanks Deb for the support and being my best friend. I'm going for a walk with Juli at 11am during lunchtime to get some stress out. It's a beautiful day!
I'm sipping on some decaf coffee. Too busy to bring my lunch in today so I'm at the mercy of the cafeteria. LOL
Enjoying my fake latte this morning. Unfortunately I "broke" the cappucinno machine at the coffee place this morning. It's one of those auto push-button type thingies and when I took my cup out from under the Vanilla Steamer ... the powder stuff kept pouring out. Oops! I think the entire container of powder spilled out before the owner could rescue it. I might need to pay double for my fake lattes all week. LOL!
My RAVE -- I'm raving about a great weekend. The weather was beautiful and I purposefully took the weekend off of all obligations. I did 2 homework assignments and a little bit of housework - but otherwise I was a lazy bum. Art show in Bay City on Saturday, Goodwill shopping afterward, got a manicure too. Even stopped at Cold Stone Creamry and had some sorbet. Sunday I met my parents and grandmother down at the Bay City Riverwalk Pier and walked for an hour - at Grandma's pace which was super slow. But the sun was shining and I was relaxed, so it was good.
It's nice to come to work on Monday and be refreshed from a relaxing weekend, huh?

Yes, that's the location I went to. And no, they don't have sugar free stuff. The sorbet I bought was the full-on sugar-loaded stuff. In fact, I didn't see anything sugar free in there at all... I was sort of going in for an ice cap, but they were all sugar-laden too. I don't dump, so I treat myself to sometimes and Cold Stone seemed like the thing to do this weekend.
HOWEVER, it has inspired me to try making some type of strawberry/banana/mango protein ice cream something or other. Even if I just make a shake with these flavors, I'd be happy. Just gotta experiment a bit.
I actually wasn't impressed with this Cold Stone. I haven't been to many, but the others I've been to in the past (years ago) all had a big viewing counter where they did the mixing on the stone. But since this Cold Stone was squashed into an existing Tim Hortons it's a really small space and you can't really see the stone mixing very well because they have a bunch of stuff in front of the window. If you're going to take Sean, I'd definitely find a location that's only a Cold Stone, not a part of another store.

Midland's Cold Stone is like that, and last I visited - pre op - they had sugar free. Maybe because it is a full size store. They do have the stones in view for mixing.
I don't dump real bad on alot of stuff, but ice cream regardless of regular or s/f hits me hard.
Thanks

We write our own destiny. We become what we do.
I have gotten the NSA creamery vanilla at Cold Stone. I usually get the childs scoop and have them put a little bit of berries w/ no sugar on it, and top it off with some kind of chopped nuts. Yummy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't seem to have any trouble doing this way ( as far as dumping).

What a gorgeous day it is out today. Not that I'm outside b/c I'm stuck here at work, but when I went out at lunch it felt so good! I love the sunshine!
RAVE.....I'm so thankful for my weight loss so far. We are going on a trip to NY and I was packing yesterday.....pulling out all sorts of old clothes. I was so thrilled to be able to fit into some capri's I never would have been able to 4 months ago! So I'm happy I didn't have to go out and buy anything new. And I"m glad I won't be lugging around the 71 lbs I've lost around NYC....that's a lot of extra baggage for the amount of walking we'll probably be doing.
Have a great day everyone!
