Good Morning everyone,
Rained out for the ride this morning. Will be riding later today. So, time for a cup of java and a game of tug-o-war with the puppy. Feeling a little blue after the Red Wings loss last night . Wait till next year! Will be going to Farmer's Market this morning. Strawberries are out!!! My favorite. Love to go to Market for the produce, flowers, and people!
QOTD-Where's your favorite "free" place to go in the community? I love the Farmer's Market! If I don't get anything, I just love to look at the booths and people watch.  My next favorite place is Bronson Park in downtown Kazoo. I love the trees, flowers and fountains..
Have a good Saturday!

Where is everyone this morning?  Yesterday was a beautiful sunny warm day.  Today looks like rain and is only 60 right now.  It's a typical Michigan day.  I'm drinking coffee with sf vanilla caramel coffee mate to sweeten things up a bit.  Hubby and I will be going to my son and prego daughter-in-law's house today and out to dinner at a rib joint.  Anyone have ideas on what to eat (healthy) at the rib joint?  I really can't think of anything, unless I get chicken and take off all the good stuff and eat only the meat.  It's pretty hard for me, since I'm still pre-op and don't have any physical restrictions.
I've been having trouble with my blood sugar lately but this morning it was finally down under 200.  I have a feeling it's because yesterday I ate pretty well.  My numbers from my food log were calories: 1067  fats: 48.1  carbs: 34.9 and protien:  121.9    I don't know how many fats or carbs I should try to limit myself to, does anyone out there know?  I know the Salmon had quite a bit of fat, but it's the good fat isn't it?
QOTD:  I also like to go to the Farmer's Market, but it's only on Saturday's.  I also love to go to the mall, grab a coffee and people watch.  Doesn't take much to entertain me!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Make the best of it.

Everyone enjoy the day,I'm headed back out to the deck to enjoy the sunshine!

Good morning all

Been a lazy morning here.  Had a glass of chocolate protein milk since I'm out of protein chai tea mix and need to buy more vanilla protein.

Gotta go get some labs drawn this morning (I'm pretty sure the lab is open).  Also heading into Bay City to hit the flea market and the art show downtown.  I wish the farmer's market were open on the weekend around here --- how's brilliant idea was it to have it only open during the day on a couple weekdays?  I'd thought about hitting the art show in Flint today which is near their market, but gonna stay close to home today instead.

QOTD -- I'm with you on the Farmer's Market.  But also just love going down to the park and riverwalk in Bay City.  Why on earth do I live in Saginaw when I love Bay City so much better?  :)

Have a good one all!
Pam

Good morning!  Had a bit of coffee this AM with s/f vanilla creamer and a little chocolate creamer...tasty.  Today and tomorrow we have some family graduation open houses to go to, so we get to show off DUB!!  My inlaws are coming up later today and are spending the night with us since they are going to both of the open houses, too.  Should be a fun day, just wish the SUN would shine!

Chelsea has a farmer's market on Saturdays and Thursdays.  We try to get out to them but don't as often as we would like.

QOTD:  During the summer months, on Thursday evenings, Chelsea has "Sights and Sounds of Chelsea."  They bring in several different types of musicians and stage them in a variety of locations throughout town.  It's pretty cool to walk around and hear all of the different musicians.

Enjoy the day!  Tina

Good Afternoon!
No rain here.  I did make it to the Art Fair in Bay City - trying to hold out buying as I'm going to Amish Country in Ohio in late July . . . saw some nice stuff though.
I'm also sad about the Red Wings . . .  but won't be long and they will be training for football season . . . . I live for football . . I'm a die hard Lions fan.
QOTD- I love the flea market in Bay City - it's from April - October and I've been going there for years . . and I love it.  Sometimes you have to weed through the junk to find the treasure . . just like me . .  lol!  I'm also a lover of the River-walk - I try to walk it a few times a week but it is a great place to sit and watch people.
Enjoy your day!

Good evening all.
I went to the Ann Arbor farmer's market today and then paddleboating around Galloup Park with my son.  It was fun.  I don't really understand the appeal of this farmer's market.  There really isn't a big variety and because it's A2 it's pretty expensive.  I did treat myself to a quart of strawberries.

I don't do a lot of free suff around here.  I guess I would have to say the library.  When I need a shopping fix and don't have any money I go there and "shop" for books.  I get a ton of cookbooks and then change the recipes to make them WLS friendly.

It's muggy and yucky out there now.  I hope tomorrow is sunny and nice so I can watch Dave do yardwork!  LOL

Have a great weekend!
