DS meet up in Lansing -- Monday / June 15th
A group of DSers will be meeting up in Lansing on Monday, June 15th @ 6:30pm for dinner.

If you are at all curious about the DS, we would love to have you come and ask any questions you may have -- or just observe! There is a tremendous amount of mis-information perpetrated about the DS, most of which is unfortunately started by surgeons not talented enough to provide the DS, so come find out for yourself. I didn't know one person with the DS prior to getting mine 18 months ago, and I really wish that I would have met at least one of these people that have offered such amazing support to me since finding the DS Forum on OH.

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

Did we decide where we're going? The last message I got from Gina just listed some choices-let me know!! Keeping my fingers crossed that hubby doesn't end up having to go to Chatanooga next week-they love to spring last minute trips on everyone, but so far, so good!! If anyone wants to carpool, we can meet up somewhere! I'm coming from Holland & will head thru GR-let me know!! Come out of the woodwork, fellow DS'ers or DS'er wannabe's or people just curious about the strange creatures called "DS'ers" :) !! Come hang out w/us for a little while!!

You are more than welcome to tag along with me! I am going to have a future DSer with me!! I am leaving an hour earlier than I would otherwise need to, because I want to swing over to campus and replace my now way too big MSU t-shirts. Also, you'll have to deal with the smell of Krispy Kremes, as I have been directed to deliver fresh ones! Of course, I will probably eat at least a dozen on the drive over.
I live really close to GHP (just a bit west, in East Grand Rapids), but we could meet up at the car pool lot at 96 & East Beltline....although, you will probably want to by-pass that area and take M6. Hummmm, we could meet at a different car pool lot (Lowell?). I'll PM you my mobile number, so just call if you want to make some plans.

OMG, I've owed you a PM / phone call / pictures for what, months now?? Really, I'll try to get my **** together this weekend!! Now that my laptop has been fixed (took weeks) and I have a new camera, I have run out of excuses....except, that tonight I am busy with the Wings, and tomorrow is the summer festival in the town I grew up in (and I am on a quest for an elephant ear, and then can be found in the beer tent the rest of the day/night), and Sunday is my bday. Does it ever slow down?? I've been in Chi two different times this week!! I am so tired.
