Hello everyone and Good Morning!
What 'ya got in your cup this morning? Breakfast of weight control oatmeal and craisins, then I'll have my cup of decaf later.
Kids been sprung from school yet? No more yellow buses rolling down the street, so I guess it means school is done.
QOTD-When you were a kid, and for some of us it was quite awhile ago, what was your favorite summer break thing to do? I loved summer camp. We went to mountain camp when I lived in Colorado. When we migrated to Michigan, we went to various church camps for a week at a time... Lots of fun memories.
Have a good one

Hey Everyone!!

It is my day off... but have alot to do... Took car in for service, cleaned the house, pricing things for my yard sale.... then waiting for my Great Niece to get here so I can take her to the park... she is gonna help me break in some of the Littles toys that are waiting for them.

I had peanut butter toast for breakfast... Now working on some raspberry iced tea... Trying to watch my carb intake more.

I just started Celebrate daily vitamins. I bought them at Hendricks office yesterday. They taste really good.... Since they taste good and chewable I will be more compliant in taking them.

QOTD: I always remember my Mom putting up the pool for me to swim for hours in. It was always those small ones that we got at Kmart that the liner had to be put in and a seal thing put around the top to lock it in. And it always killed the grass under it. They definately have gotten more advanced with the pools since I was a kid. I also enjoyed playing with the neighborhood kids. Even though I was a chunky kid man I was active.. Way more than I am now!

Loved spinning with you this morning girlfriend! Going crazy at work and I'm now sipping on my decaf coffee. Hope Erin didn't beat you up too bad up in the "torture room" LOL

Good morning everyone!
I'm at work, drinking water.  The kids have half days today, Thurs, and Fri. and then Nick will start summer school next week.  I just don't like this time of year because I am always worried about work and baby sitters, etc.  It takes the fun out of summer.

QOTD-I loved going on trips with my family.  Usually it was just to Cedar Point once a year, but getting up early and packing the car was so exciting.  Plus, we got to eat McMuffins in the car......so cool!  I think I didn't even care where we went, I just liked getting ready and sitting in the car singing along to the radio and reading a new book or magazine that I used my babysitting money to get.  One more memory......our neighbors had a giant above-ground pool.  Their kids were all college age and out of the house so we could use the pool any time we wanted as long as we helped clean it.  My mom's rule was no swimming unless it was 70 degrees or above.  So we would sit in our driveway with my dad's thermometer and breathe on it and hold it up to the sun to make it say 70 at 8am.

Hi all -

I slacked off yesterday on my task list, so today I'm slammed.  Oh yeah, and there's work stuff to do too.

QOTD -- summer camp was a big one for me too.  We used to go to a camp in Rose City ... but early in the spring they'd have a walkathon for campers so raise money to pay their way.  So each spring we'd canvas the neighborhood asking for pledges, then we'd go to the camp one weekend in spring and walk 20 miles.  So the walkathon was just as memorable as the week of camping in my childhood.

Have a good day all
Pam

Good morning!

My usual decaf with 2 scoops of protein.  Forgot my water bottle agah - duh!!

QOTD:  We had a huge above ground pool and all the neighbor kids would come over and swim - was a blast.  Also, my parents were members of a camping club in Durand and we would spend the summers there in my teen years - it was a blast to see the same kids every summer.  I sometimes wonder what happened to them....

Good Morning Michigan.
I am drinking a new raspberry tea thing from  walmart    yuck,  I'm gong back to my peach drink.
I want to finish my carpets today  wash all my drapes.   Hubby is laid off this week  and he can reach the rods without climbing so gonna take advantage of his height and willingness to help.
QOTD  I used to spend the summer on Cadillac lake on the church campground.
My mom  and a lady from our church did the cooking and there were about 6 weeks of different camps and we worked in the kitchen.  I loved it!
I also enjoyed Vacation Bible school.
Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning everyone!

Just getting had my carbmaster yogurt and getting ready to start drinking my SF Koolaid.  I got in about a half of a protien drink an hour or so ago...it was yuck!  I didn't make a good one, just skim milk and a scoop of Chocolate protien powder....ewwwww...I couldn't choke it all down.   But half is better than none.

I have my 3 month check up today at Hurley so I'm anxious to see my lab results and to weigh in....even though I do weigh myself at home.

QOTD:  Our summers were filled with Little League baseball and camping.  My dad has coaced Little League for 47 years!   So we were raised on the ball fields.  He started coaching with my oldest brother and then my two younger brothers and then never gave it up.  He's still coaching and he just turned 72 last week.  So we would spend a lot of time at the ball fields working at the concession stand.  My mom was head of the concession stand when I was a kid and I remember her going and getting all sorts of cases of candy and treats and I would sneak them from the basement :-)   My dad would ususally coach the all star team so we'd be tied up most of the summer but when he was done in early August, we'd take the rest of the summer and camp.  We'd go for a week, then come home, wash clothes and repack and go some more.  I loved camping as a kid...still do!

Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning All!

I've had a busy morning - made a batch of protein bar, did a 3 mile walk, getting ready to head in to work early.

QOTD- We had a pool when I was a kid so everyone called my mom the "kool-aid mom" because everyone was hanging out in our yard.  We also had a huge 1 acre back yard so I couldn't wait for it to get dark so we could play "kick the can" all the neighborhood kids got to come over after the street light went on . .  that is one of my favorite memories.  In fact when I see my old friends from my neighborhood they always talk about what fun we had. . .

Enjoy your day!
