Good Morning everyone....

Sure is a wet, nasty day here. I finished my Cherry SF Koolaid and had a yogurt and was just going to make some Chai Tea.

QOTD:  My 'aha' moments lately....have been trying on old clothes that I couldn't get my fat butt into two months ago....My clothes have been getting big and so I've been pulling out old clothes from my closet.  I try things on and still can't get them up over my hips, but then a week later, I can!!

Have a great day everyone...

Nan

Morning all,

Trying to combat some low blood sugar levels this morning.  I have had issues the past couple of days, haven't had a problem in several months.  Not sure what has triggered this again.   I need to look at my food log the last few days and see what has changed.  I also wonder if it is the meds that my doc has me on for my back/leg/foot issues.

Went and seen Land of the Lost on Saturday with my 5 year old and hubby.  It was a dumb movie, but somewhat entertaining.  It now has my son petrified of mosquitos.  Hopefully that will be short lived.

QOTD - my "aha" moments lately have been changing over to my summer capri's.  Apparently I am a size smaller than I was last summer.  I put on a pair that actually buttoned and zipped, and could pull them off like they had elastic waist.

Pam,

I sometimes have problems  with the blood sugar thing too, I understand from a medical source it can happen from time to time after surgery. You may not have done anything wrong.

Phyllis,

I know what I did.  I have to have a protien snack of over 12 g before I go to bed to keep this from happening.   My pouch has been sensitive, I think to the vicadin that I am taking, so I had a lighter smaller snack.  So I suffered for it.

I just went and bought some protien bars.  I have tried to stay away from the because the doctor said I really shouldn't rely on them.  Well, they work for me, expecially in situations like this.

Thanks

Pam

Pam,

Glad you figured it out, I know it can be miserable, you know your own body best and must do what ever works for you in that situation.

OH, I almost made it before noon!  LOL!

Anyway, just made breakfast for DH and having a little coffee and cereal, myself.  We had a late night last night, but that was our own fault.  Western slept A LOT last night, so we took full advantage of it and slept in til about 10 or so.  Right now, he's sitting in his little swing.  He seems to be enjoying it, so far!  He's wide awake today as he slept so much last night.  He's so much fun!!!  Can't believe that he'll be 2 weeks old tomorrow!

My latest a-ha moment was over the weekend, when I weighed myself and saw that I now weigh 10 pounds less than I did when I got pregnant.  I only gained 15 pounds while pregnant and lost 5 of that the first week AJ was in the hospital.  Then had a 6 and a 1/2 pound baby and came home weighing what I did when I got preggo.  So I'll take the weight loss!!  Hope it continues for a few more months.  Yay for breast-feeding!

We have a busy week this week.  Appointments almost everyday. going to school on Wednesday to see everyone on the last day of school, friends are coming to visit...just lots going on.  It's weird not working!

Enjoy the day, despite the rain!  Tina

PS - AJ mowed the lawn yesterday!  YAY!!  Just glad he felt like getting out and doing it.  Big step...

I had plain decaf this morning!

QOTD-My "aha" moment this week;  I went to the grand daughters dance recital this weekend.  My butt fit in between the arm rest.  Yes, it still touched the person on each side. (family)  But, I could sit down with out having to force it between the arm rest.  Couldn't do that one year ago when I started my journey.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Afternoon all,

Boy it's been busy.  I've had to cover my receptionist's desk last Thur., Fri and today, I can't wait till she's back tomm.  I haven't even changed the calender on my desk since last Wed., nor have I been on line much.  When I get home I've got to much to do other than glance at e-mails.

Q:  There's so many.  But I guess my level of energy is the one I pay attention to the least, but really is the most dramatic.  Last Saturday we had a BBQ for my family.  Friday I worked all day, hit Costco and Bordines on the way home, when I got home a mowed the lawn and did 2 loads of laundry.  Saturday I woke up at 6 am :(, by 11:30 I had cleaned most of the house, floors, kitchen....and 3 more loads of laundry.  I laid down for an hour (didn't sleep, just recharged my batteries), got up took a shower, went to Kroger, got home and started prepping for the party.  The last guest left after the game and I still had energy to go, WOW!

Have a great day all,

Edie
