Surgeons in MI
Hello all!
I am possibly switching from the band to the sleeve and would like some suggestions for a good revision surgeon in MI if anyone knows someone. I hear revision should be done by only skilled surgeons since it is more complicated and more risky than a virgin tummy. Thoughts?

There are three revision surgeons in Michigan who are top notch, as they are skilled enough to also perform a revision to the DS.
The two on the east side both do the procedures open, and the west side surgeon does the procedures lap (unless there is a medical necessity for open).
Revisions certainly are complicated, so you want to give yourself the very best surgeon possible. Also, since revisions are risky, you'll want to make sure you are revising to the proper WLS for your needs, so if you want to research the DS at all, you'll find links to information on my profile. I agree with the earlier comments that a visit to the revisions board would be helpful to you -- you will find a lot of people revising from the LB to something else, but you will also find a lot of RnY patients hoping to revise to the DS.

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.
