It's a rainy June the first!!!!
Good Monday everybody. What's in your mug this morning-the ususal decaf and black..
Hope the weekend was great. Had a wonderful baby shower for the daughter on Saturday. Sunday spent helping her plant perenials and did a killer hill bike ride.... What a glorious sunny weekend.
QOTD-Any good books you've read lately? Summer is a good time for books. I've started "Devil in the White City".  Another one I read just a couple of months ago, based in Michigan, is John Grogan's  (Marley and Me) Longest Trip Home. It is funny, heartwarming, tear-jerking, and just a really good read. Highly recommended!!!!!
Have a good Monday and it looks like a day to stay inside.

Morning!

I am not drinking anything yet but going to be getting some CL Rasperry Iced Tea soon.
Weekend was busy. Went to a Bday BBQ yesterday for my niece and was able to snag some free plants and some rose of sharon bushes. I was playing in the dirt last night. So I am kind of looking forward to the rain today to help them establish their roots.

QOTD: I read SOOO much. I sometimes go through a book in a couple of days... I am currently reading Bright Lights Big Ass by Jennifer Lancaster. The last book I read was Love the one your with by Emily Giffen. I also just read Like Family which is a story about a woman's life living with foster families growing up. That is just the last two weeks!!!

Have a great day everyone!

I am reading one of my true crime books-can't remember the name, not far enough into it yet.

I found the greatest coffee-Meijer's half-caff!

Good Monday Morning!
Skim milk in my mug this morning . . then on to the sf grape.
My weekend was busy I was working most of it.  Did manage to get a walk in last night and a few things off my "to do list" done.
The air conditioning is on here at work and I'm sitting here with my coat on because I'm freezing . .  who'd figure on June 1st!  I'm almost thinking about going to the tanner on the way home just to get some fake sun . . . lol!
QOTD- I'm not a reader other than the bible or news paper . .  I am a primitive craft-er, old window's, grapevine and anything rusty . . I always say in the winter I'm going to curl up with a good book but end up stitching a pillow or something . .
Enjoy your day!

Good morning all!

Had some protein coffee on the drive in and another cup here at the office.  The crew is back from the policy conference on Mackinac Island so there's fudge and caramel corn in the breakroom.  Ugh!

QOTD -- I just finished the first in Nora Roberts' new series called Vision in White.  A very good book -- but then again, I'm partial to anything Nora writes.  Just picked up the book on Stacey Halprin's story -- Winning after Losing -- but I'm only a few pages in so far.  Also listened to Nineteen Minutes by Jody Picoult (sp?) for Book  Club last week and that was pretty good - surprise ending and very long, but good.

Good morning!

My usual decaf with protein powder this morning.  Also had a glass of skim milk.

QOTD - I don't read much when I'm home, but when I travel for work I can go through a couple of books.  I tried catching up on my magazines last night and was able to toss 2 of them - I get so behind anymore!  I've got a book by Fern Michaels I've got sitting out to start reading.  I like to go to the used book stores and exchange what I've got, and get new ones.  There is a nice one in downtown Traverse City and this lady is great!  You walk in and say "whats new and good to read" and she will give a whole bunch of recommendations.

I'm not sure, but Jan doesn't ring a bell....  Its in a little mall type building with several other stores, towards the back.

Ahh - ok!  this place is called "So Little Time - So Many Books".   I've heard of the Bookie Joint - don't think I've been there though. I'll have to look it up.
