Hi gang,

I'm just about 2 years out from my RNY and for the last week or so, it seems that everything I eat, no matter what it is, is making me nauseous. The feeling is similar to the horrible feeling I get when I eat sugar (Nauseous, shaky, head-achy) and it varies in how bad it is, but it's anytime i eat anything... Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I don't know what to say besides stricture, and I don't even know if it's possible that far out.

I guess I'd say call your surgeon, however I know they can be in denial of anything post op.

Good luck,

Edie

I have had it happen to me before. I will tell you what has worked for me. I went back to the thing we all did one month or so after surgery. Just protein shakes and that was it for a few days. It acted like a reset button for me. I do this about 4 times a year and only drink the protein shakes instead of having a meal. Of course I still have my vitamins, but that is what has worked for me. Good luck and keep us informed.

I am almost 7 yrs out and have been going through the same thing for about 4 weeks now. I was having pains in the upper right side of my stomach too. No gall bladder here so no telling what it might be at this time .I went to my PCP last week he sent me for a cat scan last Thurs. I have to go in today for the results. Friday it was a call from his office saying not to worry but, he wants to go over the results with you in the office. Ok don't panic, he usually does not do this unless it is something, same thing with my blood work.

Still going through the same nausea... tried going back to a liquid diet with protein shakes for nutrition and even the protein shakes made me feel sick. so far today the only thing i've been able to tolerate is pickle slices, which seems weird, but is apparently somewhat common for soothing nausea... i'm going to try to keep up liquids for a few days (picked up some ginger tea which will hopefully help) and if i have no luck, then i'm going to have to pay a visit to the doctor... thanks for the feedback, all...
