Good Thursday Morning, y'all!
Looks like a cool one for today after the muggy, rainy one we had yesterday.
What's brewing this morning in your cup? Decaf and black-maybe I'm in a rut. I'm surprised that Edie doesn't grow coffee in her back yard after seeing all that she plants in her garden. Wow! What does she do with all that produce? I do some minor canning.....
QOTD-What is your guiltiest pleasure? I enjoy getting pedicures and manicures. It always feels so good to get your feet massaged and toes painted. Don't get 'em too often, but love it when I do. My second is Hersey's Bliss chocolate..... Have one piece a day and they are SO wonderful.
Have a good one.....

Good Morning everyone!  Still muggy in the Metro Detroit area.

I got to see Tina, AJ, and Western last night.  They all looked great, but ready to blow that pop stand.  I hope they do ok packing up and going home today.  Boy, holding that baby really got me thinking............but then reality hit when I got home and I realized that I am done being a mom to little babies!

So, the QOTD-Every once in a while, I sneak off and go tanning, get a pedicure, stop for some tea at Starbucks, and go shopping.  It's like all the things I shouldn't do rolled in to one afternoon.  I always feel guilty on the way home for doing it, even though Dave says it's ok with him.  I just picture my mom, who never ever went anywhere without my dad, and never spent any money on herself.  Of course she was miserable and now they are divorced.....go figure.

Hope you all have a great day!!

Who is Western?  Is that the baby's name?
It is what it is.
If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it...

Yep, Western Dean.  Or Dub.  I think he'll answer to either one

 QOTD:

My guilty pleasure is a GOOD NAP!!! The to do list never stops. I am usually up between 5:30 and 6:00 am with Mr. Max ( the pug)  I make the coffee, feed the pug, start laundry, run or empty dishwasher and then settle in to write the blog. Then there are conference calls, emails, the gym, the yard and it goes on and and on...next thing you know I feel like I have hit a brick wall...right around 2:30 pm. 99% of the time I push through and keep buzzing. My night usually ends up winding down with a book in bed between 11:00 and 12:00am....for some reason the sex and the city reruns suck me in on TBS....why I have no idea, I own all the DVDS and know most of them word for word,....laughing....but its my little taste of NYC each night :).....

BUT.....sometimes I give in, especially on days like yesterday when it is raining. The best nap is pre-meditated where I actually lay down on the bed....get way comfy....give me brain permission to stop for a rest.....

Naps with a snoring pug in a big king size pillow top princess bed make me sooo happy!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi all

I am working to clear my to-do list today because I know there's another big project on it's way to my desk.  Then after work I'm meeting the girls for our monthly book club meeting -- we read 19 Minutes by Jody Picoult .  A very good book... long, but good with a twist at the end.

QOTD -- I always feel like I'm treating myself when I go to the Harvest Coffeehouse in Frankenmuth.  They usually have some local band (jazz or acoustic) playing most weekends so I like to take a book, grab a SF latte and relax for a couple hours enjoying the music and atmosphere.  It's cozy and homey.  I wish I could get over there more often but I try for every other week or so.

My guilty pleasure is quite different, although I'm sure I'm not the only one that it pertains to!   I love to play a computer game called World of Warcraft...I have a level 80 (highest you can go) hunter, who is an elf named Kinlee and she has 5 pets she hunts with.  My husband plays also, so on weekends we each sit at our own computers and play together for a couple of hours...that's the best!! We should be starting our weekend warrior things...yard work, shopping, whatever, but we take those couple of hours to just be together and have a riot "questing"!

Every one have a wonder-filled day!

I am a WOW widow.  My DH used to play Everquest, but now a buddy got him into WOW.  It's driving me crazy!!!  But it must be fun if so many people like it.

Aw Brenda, I'm sorry you feel like a WoW widow...you are not alone, though.  Even in the game there are people who have a spouse, SO or parents who feel they play too much.  We've found that since we both play, we try to balance our time...I can play a bit during the day, but once my Honey comes home, I don't play unless he feels like it.  Then we play on weekends together.  It can become addicting, there's so many things to do...I've had to back off a couple of times because I was living in the pretend world more than in the Real world!  See if you can work some kind of deal w/ your DH that balances things out.
