Busy morning already for me. I hate going to meetings and getting a new long list of tasks and that's what happened today. UGH! Protein Chai Tea, Coffee and 20oz of Crystal Light already down. Working on breakfast at the moment.
The weekend was nice. No major plans, just spent time at home. Did a ton of homework as usual. Did a 6 mile walk on Saturday along a new rail trail near my house == it was fun to watch the calories burned rack up on my GoWear Fit.
QOTD -- I don't have a favorite musical or play ... although I do love going to plays. I keep an ongoing community calendar on my Google Calendar so I know when the local playhouses are in production. Wish I had more time to get to more of them though.

I wear it 24/7 on my arm and it uses some magic science stuff to calculate how many calories I burn throughout the day -- based on my body chemistry, body temp and then a bunch of big words I don't understand. Today I burned 2501 calories so far -- and I still have 2 hours to go till midnight. So in order to maintain my 750 calorie deficit to lose 1.5lbs per week I need to have eaten 1750 calories of food. Yeah right. I barely hit 1300 today. I think I'm figuring out that I'm not eating enough to match my workouts ... but we'll see what it tells me I need to do.
I did a preliminary review on my blog here

It's fun! And I'm loving it so far. :-)

You have to keep us updated on the gowearfit. I read up on it after you mentioned it a couple of weeks ago on one of the forums. Sounds intriguing. Have people at work noticed the band? That worries me, I don't want people staring at me, especially since I work at a PT clinic, I don't want the poor therapists to have to take time out of their day explaining to patients what they see on my arm, our patients are very inquisitive!
I'm especially interested to see what happens when your adjust your calories to what their saying.
Thanks,
Edie

Over the weekend I wore a tight long sleeve t-shirt out shopping and you could see the outline of the band under my sleeve. But it wasn't really that big of a deal and I didn't feel self conscious or anything.
Last night I walked with my training group and I wore a tank top so the armband was out there for everyone to see. Nobody asked about it or even commented on it. It kind of looks like I'm wearing an ipod armband... except I'm not sure what I'd be listening to without earbuds. LOL
People at work know I'm wearing it because I told them about it. Its so cool that it's like having a new toy to play with. :-)

Coffee and my morning peppermint tea are long gong. Working on some Pomegrante Raspberry water from Target.
Today is a Tuesday for me, I worked yesterday. It was my first day at work without my cane. I over did it a bit, and paid for it last night, but I am feeling good this morning. I did get a total of 1.5 miles walked yesterday. I am slowly working myself back, I just wish I had feeling in my foot. Which brings me to another issue. I have a wedding this weekend, and can't find a shoe to fit my enlarged foot. I went into the Shoe Dept yesterday here at the mall. My normal foot is a 7.5 d, my swollen foot is a 8.5 eee. I thought about buying some nicer looking flip flops to wear, nope, can't stand the rubbing between my toes on that foot. I am at a loss. I may go get a pair of the fancy isotoner slippers and wear a sandle on my good foot and slipper on the other.
I will be MIA for a few days. I am driving to Oklahoma for the wedding. I leave on Thursday and will be back on Monday. My dad won't fly, and mom won't drive with just my dad, and its the first grandchild to get married. So I offered to drive them down. So I won't be on the boards until probably next Tuesday.
QOTD - I am not a big play person. Not sure why, just never got into it.

I'm glad I popped back over here this evening because you were on my list tonight. You were about to get an email from me checking up on you. I've been swamped lately so haven't been paying much attention to the forums... so wasn't up to date on how things were going with you. I'm SO glad you're walking without the cane, it sounds like you're working hard to get back up to speed.
As for the shoe issue. Slippers! Definitely slippers! And I'd even do both feet so they just look like little ballet shoes or something. Although... it IS Okalahoma, so can't you just go barefoot to hillbilly weddings? (kidding!!!) hehehe
Have a good trip!
