Good Morning All!   I have never started this before :)

I am drinking an Orange Protein drink this wonderful sunny Morning.  Today is also the end of my week so I am especially happy.

QOTD  What is the one thing that you can do now that you couldn't do before your surgery that makes you the happiest and if you haven't had surgery yet, what are you looking forward to being able to do?

Good Morning!

I'm glad you started the Thursday Post . . we're missing Deb while she is gone!

I'm drinking water, just finished my walk. Not feeling up to par this morning.  I'm going to head outside and plant some flowers maybe that will perk me up.  Off to work this afternoon but at least I can enjoy some of the day!

QOTD:  Polish my toe nails . .. sounds weird but before it was such a chore - now it's a breeze!

Enjoy the warm day!

Hi, everyone!  I'm hanging around the house today, but will head to the hospital this afternoon after hubby is done with all of his therapies.  I'm trying to get some last minute things done around here as he is coming home to visit this weekend and home for good next Thursday. He is doing remarkably well.  He is on full regular food and the speech pathologist is just amazed.  She calls him her "miracle man".   PLUS, yesterday at my OB appointment, my doc told me I'm 75% effaced and dilated a fingertip....his words "things are favorable, could be anytime".  So, with our luck, I figure the weekend hubby gets a pass to get out of the hospital for a while, we'll be back in there having a baby!  LOL!

QOTD:  Well, to answer this honestly, I would say, get pregnant!  My weight was always my biggest obstacle in getting pregnant (hormonal imbalances, etc).  It's taken a long time for us to get to the point we are at (9 1/2 months preggo!), but I don't think I'd go back and change the path we have taken to get there.  Despite everything that we've been through, especially in the last month, has made us the people that we are and will continue to be, and we're pretty happy with that, so while we would like to NOT have to deal with hubby having a stroke...EVER....it happened and we can't change it.  We can only go forward, armed with knowledge and perseverance to overcome because we have this little man who's getting ready to make an appearance ANYDAY!!

It is a beautiful day and I'm thankful for it!!  Tina

Tina,

You are such a trooper.  I'm sorry you and hubby have had to deal with all of this, but your attitude is exactly where it should be.  When I was dx'd with cancer I had the same attitude, this sucks, but it is what it is and we'll do the best we can to win!  You guys will too!

I can't believe Dub wants to come this weekend (I believe your right about having to go back to the hospital), he's not even here yet and he's already taking all the attention!!! LOL

Good luck with everything,

Edie

Tina - DITTO what Edie says.....you have an awesome attitude and I am in awe of your being so positive!!   How exciting to think that before you know it your little guy will be bundled up in your arms!!!!

I'm curious more than anything - do they know what caused your husband's stroke, he being so young and everything?  I am so glad he is getting stroinger everyday and making such an amazing recovery!!

QOTD:  I am not near goal at all, but I have to say I am enjoying losing the weight and thankful for the tool I have been given!  Of anything, I like the confidence I have again of feeling better about myself.  There are so many things I can do now just shedding 62 lbs that were a struggle for me before so I'm thankful just for feeling healthier and happier!

Take care everyone.

Kristy- hope the planting perks you up :)
Tina- HOW EXCITING,  anyday you are going to have that long awaited bundle in your arms.  Hubby and I went thru fertility treatments off/on for 8 plus years and Finally have two little guys.  Well worth the wait!  We wouldn't change a thing either.

QOTD~  Iam only 3.5 weeks out, but I find I can be more positive about things so far, like I have hope now.  that makes me kinda sad to write that, but its true, I guess before I felt like getting control was hopeless and now I have a real chance.  Physically, I want to be able to run again.  I am looking forward to that!

Morning all,

Had my shake and now on to iced tea, I'm so predictable.

Q:  Wow there are so many things, painting toe nails is one, but the funnest is shopping.....I LOVE going into the stores, I just wish I had ALLOT more money to spend!  Most days I'm just like a little puppy...happy, healthy and just down right happy to be alive!

Happy Thursday!

I am at work drinking my vitamin water.  Two veggie servings down, three to go!

The QOTD is a hard one.  Things aren't a whole lot different for me now.  I didn't have any health problems before, and I am still overweight so shopping and all that isn't fun for me.  I guess I'm going to have to steal Kristy's answer.  I was afraid I would break the chair if I went to get a pedicure, so I never did.  I had ugly, nasty feet.  Now I got get a pedi every 2 weeks in the summer.
Oh wait!  I did think of one other thing.....I was able to buckle the seat belt on the plane when I went to Vegas.  I couldn't do that before!

Actually, today is my 4th day!  I didn't know I could count beans as a veg until I looked at the 5 a day website.
The real test is going to be when I go away in two weeks.  It's always burgers and junk food.  I may have to pack a secret carrot stash!
