Help - I'm having major gas issues...

Hey everyone - I had surgery on the 5th of May, and it was a major success - except for the gas issue.  I had to have a suppository (yuck!) in the hospital because I was in so much pain.

I came home, and haven't had any issues up until a day or so ago - and the gas pain has returned, and its bad!  I am having regular bowel movements, so I'm not constipated, and I do pass gas too.

Did anyone experience this, and if so, do you have any ideas for me?  I purchased gas-x, but it doesn't seem to be working.

I'd really appreciate a response.  I'm going back to work tomorrow - and I don't know what I'll do if I'm in this much pain!!!

Thank you!

PS - i had my 2 week check up yesterday and they said the gas is still a normal thing, so i'm not freaking out about it or anything - just looking for some ideas...

After surgery, the worst gas pains I had were in my shoulders from the gas they used during surgery.  Not sure if that's the type of gas you are referring to or not, but walking A LOT was the only thing that helped alleviate that gas.  I practically wore a path around my house through the living room, dining room and kitchen.

I find that even now, when I get bad abdominal type of gas, that walking really helps pass it.

Hope you find some relief, soon!  And CONGRATS on your surgery! Tina
