Good Morning,
I am working afternoons starting tomorrow so I will have the mornings to go for a walk and do some yard work . . weather permitting.  Son and granddaughter will be gone for the weekend so I'm home alone . . . . YIPPEE!

I'm drinking SF grape kool-aid this morning.

QOTD;  I love baked beans on mine . . . weird enough?  There is a local meat market here that makes homemade chicken & turkey brats . . so I boil all the fat out of them burn them slightly on the grill - they are yummy!  Two Tbls of Bushes Beans and I'm good to go.

Getting ready to lace up my walking shoes.  Enjoy this beautiful day.

Well, I'm back from my weekend dog show.  Didn't win, but that's ok, I didn't expect to with a puppy.  Will be heading up north to Interlochen on Friday and staying until Tuesday.  Hope we have good weather

QOTD:  I'm a little weird... if I eat a plain hotdog, no bun I want it with ketchup, but if I have it on a bun I want mustard and onions, chili is ok too.  I don't eat ketchup on hamburgers or much of anything, but really like it with a plain hotdog.

Hey all,

I'll just jump into the Q:  I'm not a huge fan of hot dogs.  I may have one or two a year.  When I used to have buns I would have it w/ mustard and baked beans.  Now I do the same thing just no bun!  Boring but good.

Have a great day all.

Edie

Congrats on getting in your 5 Brenda, how are you doing today???

Deb, have a great time in Chicago.

I meant to send Pam E a warm fuzzy because she had such crap to deal with today.

Cheese curds are kind of like cheese sticks...in nugget form.  Fried cheese should not be consumed in the same meal as fried onions and chili!

I am doing well....got 4 servings in and one to go!  Thanks for asking!

Thanks much.  None of them were shocked, but I still hated doing it.

Ahhh, fried cheese, ok, that I could have handled pre op, but your right, it's not something we should have eaten at one time, but I guess that's why were here!   But that meal would have gotten my GERD going for days.

Hi everyone!

I started reading the thread this morning and then forgot to post .

Hot Dogs....well I haven't had one yet since surgery, but I like Koegel hot dogs.  I love them grilled and crispy on the outside.  If they are grilled like that I can dip them in ketchup and eat them that way.  If I eat them on a bun, I like ketchup, mustard & relish.  I like coney dogs too.  I  actually think a hot dog sounds good...but probrably not a good idea for just being a little over 2 months out.

Anyone watch American Idol??    I think Adam is going to win!

Take care everyone!

Good Evening all,

Wow, what a beautiful day.  Spent most of it outdoors, doing Nothing!!!!  Watching dogs beat up my dog!!!!  This weekend hasn't been planned yet.  Probably staying close to home though.

QOTD:  Funny you should ask a question about hot dogs.  I kinda got in trouble for buying Hebrew National hot dogs cuz I was told they have too much spice to em.  What??? no way.  My DH is Polish and only likes the Kowalski Skinless franks.  So, I guess its back to those next time.  We buy them by the case usually.  They last a while in the freezer.  I like mine burned on the grill.  Then mustard, a tiny bit of ketchup and onions.  I do like chili, but don't have it most times, just when we hit a Coney place.  I am also a fan of an Everything dog, with peppers, sauerkraut, etc etc.  You know me, the weirder-the better it tastes!

hey, whats all the talk about CHEESE? and Curd formed cheese????

Well, it's 5:40 PM.  I'm a little late for morning coffee, but I am drinking a s/f vanilla, decaf latte right now.  I had a busy day today.  Had to take both dogs to the vet this AM for all their annual shots, etc.  Got out of there just shy of $300.  EGADS!  Good thing it's only once a year!  After that, I came to the hospital for the day.  Still here.  Hubby's sleeping after filling his belly with REAL food, today!  He was put on stage 2/mushy soft foods yesterday afternoon and will be on stage 3 foods tomorrow.  I got the all clear to bring his dog in to visit him, too.  But best of all...he gets a pass this weekend to come home for a while on Saturday and Sunday!  Then he's out next Thursday!  So, all good!

QOTD:  I don't eat hot dogs too often, but I do crave one every now and again.  Sometimes, I want a coney dog with chili and onions (and I'm not an onion eater, but on a hot dog...ok).  I like my hot dogs boiled, though, when I do have them.  The first time I made them that way after I got married, my hubby thought it was the grossest thing he'd ever seen.  So, whenever I make hot dogs that way, I tell him I'm making hot dog soup.  I'm pretty simple, though. I like them on a softened, warm bun with mustard and ketchup.  But I think, given the choice, I'd take a Johnsonville Brat on the grill over a hot dog, anyday!  Oh and I have discovered the Asiago Cheese Bagel dog here at the hospital at Einstein's Bagels.  I'm not supposed to be eating hot dogs while I'm pregnant, but I broke down the other day and had one of those for lunch...it was so good!

Catch ya tomorrow!  Tina
