Monday Morning Coffee
No surprises over the weekend-went to a singles dance and the men were outnumbered by women as expected-probably 10 women for every man. We saved our money and went to Dairy Queen instead-for a small sundae treat.
Just finished off my morning fake latte and need to push water for the rest of the day. I kind of slacked off this weekend on water so need to make up for it.
QOTD -- my big surprise this weekend was my homework assignments for my online class (intro to biz). I had 2 due on Saturday and 1 due on Sunday. For 20 points each I am amazed at how long it's taking me to do each of these assignments. Yesterday's ended up being 5 pages of typed text (single spaced) and took me about 5 hours to finish. Ok, so I took breaks for lunch and email checking and stuff... but 5 hours was pretty crazy for 20 points! I've got another assignment do today and one tomorrow too. Surprise! Welcome to college!

Morning all,
Just finished my 2nd cup of coffee for the day. My dear son had bad dreams last night, and would only sleep if he was snuggled next to me with both my arms wrapped around him. So needless to say, Mom didn't sleep well. Working on some peppermint tea at the moment, glad it's not a heavy thought day today at work, most everything is routine and on the light side this week.
QOTD - no surprises for the weekend. I wanted to do some garage saling, but didn't make it out. I would like to pick up a bike for my son, but my dad is out looking for one, so I am not putting alot of effort into it. The summer baby sitter comes over on Saturday to spend the day with us to see what Sean's routine is. It is hard to believe that Thursday is his last day of school already. We got the fall Schedule, and he doesn't go bac****il September 14. He has almost 4 whole months off for summer break.
Hope everyone has a great day
Pam

QOTD:
No big surprises. I got a lot accomplished. What has been a pleasant surprise over the last 6 months is the new church I have been attending. I grew up going to an Episcopal church with my parents. It was very traditional with robes, incense. pews, gospel, scripture etc. We had beautiful church services....however once I became and adult and moved out on my own, church stopped. In the last 5 years I have been searching for a connection...soemthing....and have found nothing. From churches to books I was always looking for something.....A Friend introduced me to this church last fall and I love it. I look forward to it every week. It is called Orchard Grove. The main location is in Walled Lake and there is a satellite in downtown Farming ton at the old movie house. The service is amazing. My heart has never felt more full nor have I ever felt so spiritually guided. Every week the lesson is delivered in a way you apply it directly to your life. There is a live band. It is nothing like what I experienced as a child. It is what I look forward to all week. I walk out the door wanting and striving to be a better person. Service Sunday was AMAZING...not a surprise, but one of the highlights of the weekend.
Spent the rest of weekend in the yard. I can hardly lift my arms today. I think the transplanting of the Hosta had something to do with it. I blogged about it with pictures today:

Good Mid-Morning!
Drinking my water taking a break from painting . . I believe it's never ending!
QOTD: My surprise was how well I did on the 5K on Saturday- given the condition of some of the trails and my IPod not being charged up I did it in 50:30 . . which is very good for me. Other than that just working around the house trying to get everything done so I can sit in a lawn chair once the weather get nice!
Enjoy your day.

I had protein Decaf this morning.
QOTD: I had a surprise this weekend I had some Lipton Diet Green tea with citrus a couple weekends ago and loved it. My hubby picked up some things for this past weekend. I gave him a label off one and he picked up a 12 pack for me. I drank 8 of them over the weekend trip. On the way home I was looking to see how much caffeine they had as I haven't been drinking any. While looking at the label I see 21 carbs of sugar! They weren't Diet and I hadn't noticed! 168 grams of sugar in 3 days and it wasn't even for something GOOD!
I weighed in 5 pounds up this am from Thursday!
BIG bummer! I know we've almost done that before. Did you want to smack your hubby???(I would have LOL) even though the poor guy was just trying to help!

My weekend I had no surprises. I was in Chelsea with Steve all weekend and we planted flowers and the garden on Saturday. Then we watched movies and just had a nice quiet, relaxing evening Sat night. Oh, I guess I did have a surprise Friday night. We went to Ann Arber for dinner. They have the best restraunts so we chose a Greek restraunt. I ordered a small greek salad. Ate a few bites and had to box it up. Thought I was good, but then started to get the foamies....had to get to the bathroom quick! Ugh!! I hate that feeling. Then had the foamies again walking to the car!
I'm at a stage where I'm having a hard time keeping things down. I just had 2 TBSP of chilli for lunch, within 10 minutes, had to throw it up.
I don't think it's a stricture because I can keep some things down, yogurt, protien drinks, cheese/crackers, milk,
Anyways, have a great day everyone!
