Great group! I had surgery with Dr. Foote nearly 5 years ago,
when they were with MMPC. They really do follow you through
with everything. There isn't a bad surgeon in the bunch. Dr.
Baker has invented stuff for this surgery. He started the program
at Spectrum Blodgett. I know my life would be very different had
I had not WLS 5 years ago. If you have any other questions,
contact me.

Dr. Kemmeter performed my DS 17 months ago.  He is a very skilled surgeon, and I had no doubts going under that he was more than capable of getting my SSMO body through surgery and any potential complications -- I was right!

I have no hesitations in recommending Dr. Kemmeter.  The program is probably great for RnY, LB, and VSG patients, but less than adequate for DSers.  That is NOT unusual for any bariatric practice that performs the DS -- we are few & far between, and it takes someone strong enough to advocate for their own health and motivated enough to succeed to pull a DS off with a healthy outcome.  DSers rely more on each other for support than they do an all inclusive WLS group -- there are just too many differences in our anatomy and needs.

If you are considering the DS, see my profile for links to helpful information and medical studies.  Any specific questions about my experience, just ask -- I am an open book.

I also had Dr. Kemmeter  - for my lap RNY last July (2008) and I think he is a very skilled surgeon.  I have had no complications other than having to have my gallbladder removed last month.  I recovered very quickly from both surgeries.  I was already on vacation after my RNY, but only needed to take two days off after my gallbladder surgery.

I am 100% satisfied with my experience at Grand Health Partners (formerly with MMPC).

I had the VSG with Dr. Foote and he is wonderful. His staff is pretty good and Blodgett hospital and the staff there are phenomonal.

I had a VSG with Dr. Baker (and an attempted Lap-Band 3 years ago.  He found a tumor so I had to be treated for that first).  I have no complaints at all and would recommend them and Dr. Baker to anyone.  :)
Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Just had to put in my 2 cents worth for GHP.   Had Dr. Kemmeter for my lap RNY in Aug. 07.   He along with his partners are a terrific group of surgeons and their aftercare is top notch.    Dr. Kemmeter even came down to Sturgis recently to speak to my support group!

I would highly recommend them == good luck.
