Any one have Dr. Michael Wood?
Dr. Wood did my surgery on 11/4/02 when he was with Cori. I was very pleased with the surgery itself and with Dr. Wood in general. However, I feel and this is just MOP the follwo up was pathetic....was very hard to get in for follow ups...3 months after the surgery I developed a hernia which he said it was not and I had already had an appt. with my PCP that said it was definitely a hernia..it looked like aan alien growing out of my belly. So my PCP sent me to my general surgeon who promptly did surgery and fixed it and my scar....I have gone back once since them for help with my hypoglycemia and was not happy with the results there at all....So I stay away from there and just keep up with my blood work and issues with my PCP. I will say all in all my surgery was good and I am happy that I did it....

Dr. Wood did my surgery in May of 2006 and I have absolutely only good things to say about him. He is a wonderful surgeon, has been involved with WLS for more years than just about anyone else around here, and has an excellent track record. He is a wonderfully warm human being. He was with CORI at the time of my surgery and has since broken away from them and opened his own practice. From the beginning, even with CORI, my experience has been good. I have never encountered a problem scheduling follow ups, and staff have been very attentive to my needs. Like I said, I have no complaints!
For the record, my surgery results are "texbook" - - I lost 112 pounds over about a year and a half and have maintained my weight loss for a year and a half since then. I feel great and have had no complications.
You will be in great hands with Dr. Wood. Good luck to you.
