Monday Morning Coffee

Hello Michigan this Monday Morning,
What's your wake-up juice this morning? Decaf and black. Same ol' but so good.
Going outside is so wonderful this time of year. Around the neighborhood it smells like lilac. Smells so good.
QOTD-What was your weekend? Went to a bridal shower on Saturday for a niece.  Wedding is next month. Sunday spent Mother's Day with the daughter and shopped for maternity clothes. Found a garage sale on Saturday and got a baby swing and a pack and play...... This grandbaby is going to be spoiled big time. But, I love it

Good Morning Deb and everyone,

Drinking water this morning trying to get started.  I'm too old to do Mondays!

This weekend seemed to fly by.  I will be looking forward to the next one!  My youngest son took me to a movie last night.  It was nice to spend some time with him.  The rest of the weekend was spent running errands and doing stuff around the house.  I did manage to hit the gym, but I also got a mother's day cupcake, so I think they canceled each other out LOL

Good morning from the cold Upper Michigan,it's a cold 27 degrees.I'm having my 1st cup of regular plain old coffee.I'm looking forward to having my coffee on the deck,so far thats only happened once.I just finished paying bills online,it sure saves on postage and stamps went up two cents today.We went out for brunch yesterday,I got a handing basket of flowers for the deck, a beautiful glass picture frame that says Mom and a gift certificate to get my toes done..My grandaughter who is four gave me lots of hugs and kisses all day,that was the best gift I could get.All in all it was a nice day.I sure hope it warms uo I want to get out and open the pool this week,it probably has ice on it yet.

 what a beautiful day out there! but it sure needs to warm up.    
I am drinking a protein  drink this am.  then will go to ice tea    need the caffeine kick.  
I spent  the weekend in Fremont   and lots of time with mom off and on.    All she  wants  any more is  time with her kids and home cooked  food. 
I got  a tear jerker blessing also!!!!    My first foster kids were 4 of the same age teens all from different homes   that I finished raising to adulthood.     They  have mothers of sorts,  and I tried to encourage them to maintain contact of sorts.    They have also remained in contact with our family especially I believe for the grand parenting  from my parents.   
Two of the kids married each other and one is married to a young man who treats her well the forth is considering marriage sometime in the future to a delightful young lady. 
This weekend they informed Steve and I that we are gonna be the grandparents of their babies!!! 
 I knew wed have access to the babies  but never dreamed wed be called grandpa and grandma!!

Gas station coffee for me this morning.

Weekend was quiet, my daughter worked on Sunday so I went shopping for a bit.  Saturday was spent with my friend from high school days.

Morning all,

Had my protein shake this am and am just waiting to start on my iced tea.

Q:  My weekend was spent at home (which I love), Sat we cleaned, cleaned and cleaned, then a friend came over and we had a bbq and bonfire.  Sunday we gardened for 4 or 5 hours then I veg'd and I mean veg'd, I don't' think I moved much after that (well I did do 3 loads of laundry, cleaned up the kitchen started and emptied the dishwasher...., us women, do we ever stop?  I actually felt like I was veg'ing until I wrote down what I did LOL!)

Good Morning to all...
I am drinking a tropical punch protein drink, it washes the flinstone chewable down well. :) 

QOTD-  My weekend was great and horrible all at the same time.  I spent alot of time with my boys which was great.  Unfortunately my 17 month old was bitten in the face by a dog on saturday afternoon.  13 stiches later I am a very grateful mama that he is going to be okay, the dog missed his eyes and his mouth. for that I am grateful.  Thank God for watching over my baby.  It made mothers day extra special for me knowing how fragile and precious my babies are. 

Wow Lisa, I'm so sorry your baby had to deal with that, that had to be scary.

Hope he heals up fast physically and mentally.

Morning All,

I haven't had anything in my cup this a.m. (bad girl). I did have a protein bar so far but will start on my protein coffee soon.

QOTD ~ I had a blast this weekend! Saturday I walked 3k at Belle Isle for diversity in communities with my husbands workplace. I actually completed it with no problems so it was exciting. I also did some gardening this weekend (Thanks Edie)!!! 
I had a wonderful mother's day as well!!

Lisa ~ sorry to hear about your baby having to get stitches. I'm glad all is well.
