Update on my hubby
First of all, I would like to THANK YOU for all of the prayers and support that you guys have shown and expressed here! It means so much to know that so many people are out there praying for us and thinking about us. As you can well imagine, this has been a complete and total shock for all of us.
AJ, my hubby, is making progress. He is out of the "critical" stage following a stroke, where they watch to make sure things aren't continuing to decline. He has shown no decline during this time and only improvements, albeit small. He does have a feeding tube in place as he cannot swallow, yet. He has no further swelling in his brain so they are looking for the effects of that to start diminishing, too. This will help as he has a constant headache, much like a sinus headache. He will feel much better after the headache and pressure begins to subside. He's doing well with physical therapy, showing improvements in balance and coordination almost immediately. He should be going to rehab next week, which means a 3-6 week hospital stay as they want him to be inpatient. I asked them if the baby comes while he's in rehab, would they bring him to Labor and Delivery (we had already planned to have the baby at this hospital anyway)? They said Of COURSE!!! So, that makes me feel better.
Now it's just a waiting game and a test of patience!!
Thank you, once again! Tina

Wow Tina,
That's a lot to take in. Just try to stay calm for AJ and the baby. It'll be hard having him as an inpatient for 3-6 weeks, but you know he'll be getting the care he needs. He'll be staying in the same hospital for rehab? I know a lot of people go in to a nursing home/rehab center for the rehab. That'll be good for when you have the baby. Isn't the babe due the first week of June?
Well, anyway. Prayers will be going up for your family for a while. I won't forget you.
