Anyone here in Mid Michigan or have Dr. Schram?

Just trying to get a feel for where everyone is. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Schram. I think that I've made the right choice!

I live in Pinconning and work in MIdland.  We have a great support group in Bay City.

I had Dr. Kam at Barix and has left so I am with Dr. Poplowski (sp?).  I love the staff at Barix.

Is that support group in Bay City for anyone who has had WLS surgery? I'm planning on having the VSG in Pontiac. I haven't been able to find many other options for self-pay VSG in Michigan.

Yes, the group is open to anyone.  We have people 1 month to 7-9 years out.  We have RNY, Bandsters, VSG and DS.  Currently we float between members homes, but are looking for a more permanent location that will hold more people

Hi!  I had Dr. Kam initially at Barix but like the above poster said he left, I went with Dr. Schram and I like him.  At first I wasn't so sure but that man has talent and knows his stuff.  At least in my opinion anyway.    I feel very comfortable with him, as I did Dr. Kam.

Dr Schram did my RNY in July 07 and I would wholeheartedly recommend him. I thought he was great and did a great job. I'm down 150+ pounds and have an entirely differently life now...
