Morning Deb,

I just got done eating strawberries and splenda.  It satisfies my sweet tooth.  Weekend was awesome.  I stayed with a friend and it was great hanging out.  Oh and lets not forget shopping. We all did that!

QOTD:  My friends have been my biggest support through this journey.  We are all at different stages so we learn from each other.

 QOTD:

I would have to say my best friend Clinton and my Mom.  They flew into NYC on different dates so I would have someone with me the first week. They have been my support and sounding boards. I would also have to say the OH family and my surgeons office. I moved back to Michigan about 6 weeks after having my surgery in NYC and I still email with my surgeon and the Bariatric coordinator. They have an amazing program and I love them dearly!

The weather was FANTASTIC this weekend. I got so much yard work done-- yet still lots to do! Hit the gym and broke out my Trek bike as well. Riding is fairly new to me, I am excited to discover the trails in my area. I had dated someone the end of last summer that was crazy into biking, so I INVESTED ( still makes my stomach flip when I think about what I spent) in a great bike...too bad he wasn't that great of investment...laughing. I rode very little last year...but have been spinning at the gym during the winter so I am anxious to take it to the road.

Have a great week everyone!

Hey Laura,
I spent good sized bucks on my Trek a few years ago. It really makes a difference in enjoying the ride. I bought a women's specific bike and I love it!
Spin helps the switch to outdoor riding, too.
Get out and ride!!!

Good Mid Morning!

What a great weekend.  Celebrated my parents 55 wedding anniversary with my family and watched lots of hockey.  Managed to work around the yard also.
I'm sipping my water and waiting for my ice tea to brew!

QOTD:  My Bay City Support Group - what a great group of supporters.  They celebrate your victories and listen when your struggling.  I drifted away when I went to a swing shift job and didn't realize how much I needed them.  I'm glad I'm back!

Enjoy the day!

Afternoon all,

I made it through the weekend, walking a bit more each day.  I am still using a cane, but not expecting miracles at this point.  I have a dr appt this afternoon and I am doing to make sure that they do something about this.  It has been almost 2 weeks, and what they originally thought is far beyond that.

I did learn a few things about myself while I was laying around.   The big one was the difference between hunger and head hunger.   I eat by the clock and I don't need to.  I am going to try to adjust my lifestyle accordingly.

QOTD - my biggest is the Bay City Support group.  I have attended 3 different groups since surgery.  This is a great group with alot of wonderful people.  Without them, I would not have completed a 5k this spring.

Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful day.

Pam
