Ulcer

I went to have my scope and strictured removed Friday.  Turns out I have an ulcer not a stricture.  Dr. English was out of town so I have to wait to Monday to talk to him.  All I know is the dietician said that was not a good thing and to go back on a liquid diet.  I also got a prescription to take.  Has anyone gone through this?  I am not sure what to expect etc.

Sorry to hear your going through this, it sounds very uncomfortable.

Didn't they put you on anything post op to prevent this?  I was put on previcid for the first year, I have chosen to stay on it indefinitely, my doc told me the only 3 patients of his who developed ulcers post op were the ones who went of these medications.  Hope that didn't come off as preachy, just more of something to talk to your doc about.
