Wanting Bariatric Surgery

I have been oversweight my entire life.  I don't know what is wrong, or going on because I just can not lose weight.  I eat only until I'm full, but it seems to the wrong thing to do because with that and I walk 2-3 times a week at 2 mph and a 4% incline on the treadmill for 1/2 hour and I STILL GAINED WEIGHT!  I don't usually do anything!  Some activity should make me lose weight!  I am sooo stressed about all this. My Mom got bariatric surgery done by Dr. Gluck in Muskegon.  If I get mine done, it will be him doing mine, if he's covered by my insurance.

Welcome to OH and this board.  Your first step is to do some research and attend a seminar.  Let us know what you decide.

I attended the seminar with my Mom, and called them to see if I could get  it done with basically a credit card.  I have such horrible credit that the company said no.  So they have a record that I attended the seminar as well.  My first step is to get the insurance.  I know I'm going to get the job I'm getting my CNA training for.  I just have to take the classes and the state test.

I'm sure most of us on these boards have weight issues just like you, that's what brought all of us here too.

Good luck on your decision making.  Learn as much as you can, and ask a ton of questions.  This is a life long change you are contemplating.

Personally I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Welcome,

Yeah, I know it's a lifestyle change, I know how long people take to recover, I also know because of the problems with the little tubes and bulbs that sucked out fluids that Dr. Gluck was considering not using them anymore.  As I said in my first post, "My Mom got bariatric surgery done by Dr. Gluck in Muskegon."  I've been there every day with my Mom and know the ups and downs, but the weight loss far outweighs learning to eat slow and what I can eat and running to the toilet.
