Battle Creek area Information needed please.
Hi. I live in Indiana right now, but am looking at moving to the Battle Creek area within the next few months. I know this is OT here, but is there anyone that can share any info about housing, and surgeons in the area. I will need to find another RNY surgeon up there, to take over my case. I am just wanting to hear of any and all bits of info for the area. Thanks so much!

I have a dear friend who lives in the area however she is not a WLS patient. She is active in the community with clowning at the local hospice etc.. I can ask her if it would be ok to share her e-mail address with you if you'd like as she may be able to give you some housing ideas. Just let me know via a private e-mail
Thanks so much! We will be in the area the 10th-13th of May for the necessary things to get ready to move! Uggh! I am not looking forward to moving, since we just moved to IN 2 1/2 yrs ago. It will be a good move for us tho, so that makes it easier.

Hi LaChelle- I'm in Battle Creek and waiting on surgery from Dr Verseman in Kzoo at Bronson. Everyone but my insurance has been great so far. I think Dr Verseman and Dr Saber in Kzoo are about your only choice unless you want to travel further (Kzoo is about 30 minutes). As for housing - lots and lots around and pretty cheap. We've got repo's, rentals and some beautiful homes for sale. I worked in real estate in the area for 10 years until my company was sold in Dec and I am one of the many unemployed around here. I can hook you up with some great, low pressure realtors, if you would like. If I can answer any questions - let me know. Welcome to the area.

I have sent a couple of e-mails to a couple of the local realtors, and just am waiting for a reply. As far as surgeons, I will need to talk to my local surgeon, and ask him for a referral. He has a list that he uses for all over the states. That is a good thing on my part, I guess. I am on maintinance now anyway, so I only have to go once a year. I will be excited to get settled in the area.
