Good morning all!
Just enjoying my morning fake latte and doing some meal planning for today. Oops... I mean working hard at the office and being busy. :-)
QOTD -- I signed up for the Crim Training Program last year that started when I would be 5 months post-op. The first training session was to be a 2 mile walk and I was freaked out that I couldn't do it.... so I started training on my own about a month before the actual training started. So when I was 4 months post-op I was easily able to walk 3 miles in one session because I forced myself to be able to do it. And that 20-week training program ended with walking a half-marathon (13.1 miles). I'm doing it again this year.
Brenda --- what are you eating before your workouts? You should be getting some type of carb/protein snack about 30-60 minutes before you do a cardio workout. The carbs will give you a glucose energy boost for the cardio and the protein will give you some sustained energy for an hour-long workout. A rice cake with peanut butter... a protein bar that's got a good carb/protein balance ... an apple and cheese. Then if I follow up with a protein forward meal within an hour of my workout (which is usually just dinner since my workouts happen early evenings.)

I can'****ch the clip here at work, so maybe it has this in it....
Remember the commercial-type thing that told you how to put juice in the ice tray with toothpicks for a great snack? I always wanted my mom to do that, and when we finally did, it wasn't that big of a deal. Times have changed and I'm getting old!!
Next, Tina is going to start singing "Conjunction Junction"......

"what's your function".......lol I think they still show that on Saturday mornings.
Juice in ice tray??? Kind of sounds familiar. Heck I can't remember what I saw last week! Times have definitely changed and I am going into complete denial about my age!!! So if 50 is the new 30....should 40 be the new 20???? Yes??? Probably not... . Oh well, what's a girl to do?
