Today is the day!
Dr. Cudjoe in Alma Michigan has once again invited Dr. Vincent DiNick to come give his presentation on Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery to their support group. Whether it is from major weight loss or an interest in general, we would like to extend the invitation to anyone who may be interested.

Dr. DiNick will cover a full array of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures for both bariatric and non-bariatric patients. He will show before and after photos for most common procedures requested after massive weight loss. He will also take the time to answer any questions as a group or one-on-one.
Dr. DiNick and Barix Clinics joined to form the first comprehensive plastic and reconstructive program integrated into one of the leading surgical weight loss programs in the country.

Hey Carey,
Does Dr. DiNick have anything on his schedule for the G.R. area?
Thanks,

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

Have you been in contact with Grand Health Partners at all? Not sure they would be open to it, but now that they have broken away from MMPC, they may be. Their practice manager is: Kim McCorriston -and- the main number is: 616/956-6100.
Personally, I don't find their 'meetings' to be much of a 'support', so I rarely attend. I really wish they would work on that -- not many people attend, which is a shame for pre-ops looking to interact with post-ops.
While we have nothing official, there are several DSers in the area that I am in contact with and get together with often. I could definitely generate an audience for him! What would be the target attendee number? Would he be willing to do an interactive -or- do any 'marking up' of areas to be worked on during this time with potential patients?
I am targeting mid-winter for my first (of many!) PS, so while I'm not in a huge hurry, I am ready to start exploring options. Traveling isn't an issue for me, but with such a large bariatrics practice in G.R., I would think that there would be some interest in Dr. DiNick locally.
Also, isn't there a Barix Clinic in Holland? There was one there when I was exploring WLS, but they didn't perform the DS, so wasn't an option for me. That is also relatively 'local' for G.R. area folks, as long as it isn't winter!

Oh and yes Barix has an office in Holland.
Thanks for the info!
