Good Morning All!
What a beautiful morning here in mid-Michigan!
My grand daughter is here for the weekend - she call me "granny" . . lol  I don't feel like a granny!
I am heading to the blender to mix a chocolate banana protein smoothie.

QOTD:  The first two years went by so uneventful then on my 3rd anniversary Pam sent me the nicest card congratulating me on my success.  I often don't feel like I am a success because I have not yet completed my goals . . (I am back on track now) so I got out the pair of jeans that I wore the day I went to surgery and hung them on outside of my closet door to remind myself how far I have come.  In 2010 on my 4 year anniversary I am going to buy a diamond cross that I have wanted for so long but I'm going to wait until January so it has personal meaning for me.
Have a great day!

Hello Everyone!
Good job for an early morning post!  I hope you stopped drinking the right thing :-)
What a glorious morning. It was great to sleep in a little late this morning.
QOTD-I don't celebrate my surgiversary on the date.  But, tonight we have a Bariatric Celebration at the hospital where I and a lot of my friends had surgery. It is something I really look forward to as we celebrate and honor everyone's success. It is almost the same date my best friend had hers two years and 160 pounds ago.
Have a great weekend. Tomorrow I'm off to Denver for work for 3 days. They had S**W there and I hope it is all melted as I have my winter coat in the dry cleaner...

What a glorious morning.

Good catch!  Yes I ment I stopped drinking water.  But, I hade regular coffee at the crop.  I haven't been having caffine so, I was still up at 4 and could have poted tham

The DH got me up at 9:30 becasue it was such a glorious day!

Good morning.  I'm up, drinking a bit of watered down coffee.  I like my Starbucks Breakfast Blend but I don't like any really strong coffee.  So I usually do 1/2 coffee, 1/2 ho****er.  Plus I read yesterday that the lighter roasts of coffee have more caffeine in them because the longer a bean is roasted the less caffeine it has in it.  So between a mild blend like Breakfast blend and an Espresso, the breakfast blend has a higher caffeine content.  Useless tidbit of the day.

QOTD :  I don't do anything special to celebrate.  I completely forgot on my 2 year  anniversary.  It's not that I don't think about it or anything, I just don't mark the day in any special fashion.  I am like Brenda, though, and tend to use my surgery date as a demarkation of events.  BEFORE surgery and AFTER surgery.   FOR ME,  my weight before surgery and after surgery did not define me, so I guess I don't look at it as a "rebirth".   Yes, I eat better, eat less and don't focus on food like I used to, but I'm still the same person I was at 335 pounds, as I was at 140 pounds and as I am now.   With that being said, I don't deny ANYONE their desire to celebrate their special day because we all have milestones in our lives that help define who we are!!!

Enjoy this beautiful day!!! Tina

Morning all,

I'm ready for a wonderful day, I hope you all go out and enjoy the day too.

Q:  The first year I celebrated every month with an official weigh in, measurements and a pic.  Now, ehhh not much.  I think that's pretty normal, at least for me.  Just like anything else your normal life gets in the way and you just go on.

Just as a side note on anniversaries, I just had my 5 year from my breast cancer dx!!!!  Didn't do anything special for that either, it just put a smile on my face when I thought about it this week!

Have a great day all,

Edie

I know how you feel.  I spent  many years on nights.  I hated going in on a beautiful sunny day.
