It was so nice meeting you too!!   I am looking forward to doing some of the 'races' we talked about.
It sure helps to have a nice support group....especially being so new out.

Hi Bev!

You are doing GREAT!!!!   I am down 42 lbs total but 19 of that was Pre-Op, so you are doing better than me!  I feel like I am losing slow compared to others, but I was on a 2 1/2 week stall through weeks 3 & 4.  this week the scale is moving again :-)  so that makes me happy  You sound like you are doing wonderful!  Keep up the good work...and the exercise, that is great.  I have been walking about 3-4 times a week.  I do 1 1/2 - 2 miles.

I think I need to work on getting in fluids better than what I'm doing right now.  I don't think I'm making the recomended 64 oz.

What types of foods are you eating??  I'm eating tuna, eggs, cottage cheese, FF refried beans, yogurt and protien shakes...that's about it.   I go for my 6 week check-up on Friday.

Keep up the good work Bev, you are doing GREAT!!

Morning Deb and everyone-
I'm sick as a dog today.  I won't give you details, but it's been a rough morning.  I think I caught a nasty stomach bug from a guy at work.  But, it's my boss' birthday, so I had to come in and do everything, otherwise the world would end.

I'm drinking vitamin water 10 lemonade.  It's pretty yummy.

While I hardly consider where I'm at "successful" I will say that I know what I'm eating now.  I can't lose any more weight no matter what I do, but I do know nutrition information about a lot of food.  When I was gigantically fat, I would just act ignorant to what I was eating and what it was doing to my body.  Now, I take an interest in what I'm eating and how it will help my body function.  There are still times I turn a blind eye (cheesey potatoes?) but those are planned and don't happen very often.

Brenda,

I hope you feel better soon.  That sucks that you have to go in feeling like crap because your boss would freak out, but I've got one of those wacko boss's to. so I know what you mean, some times it's just easier to keep the peace!

Morning all,

Is the weather about to change?  My arthritis is giving me fits today.  I have already taken one dose of drugs, and it is starting to throb again.  Even my fingers ache today.  I feel puffy today, not sure if they are related or not.

Coffee is long gone, and my 2nd bottle of crystal lite is almost done.  Have some decaf chia tea steaping in the background (No Pam, its not as good as your protien chia), but it gets me through my intake for the morning.

QOTD - The biggest difference for me is being able to maintain my weight loss.  I am still not at goal, and at this point, I will not beat myself up if I don't reach it.  I am the smallest I have been my adult life, and I am healthy and happy.   2008 was a hard year on me, but I made it through without gaining weight, which I have to say, probably is a first for my adult life.   I am still working on head hunger vs physical hunger.  I consider myself a work in progress.  It took me 42 years to get to where I was, I don't excect to completely change it in under 2 years.

Hey Michigan,

Just finished a bbq beef sandwich, sans most of the buns, and a steak cut french fry, it was pretty good.

Q:  I guess my lunch describes the biggest difference since surg.  I have bits and bites of things.  Lunch and dinners out last a few meals (which I personally love).  I feel more in control than I ever have, but I am still a newbie'ish.  I'm hoping I feel this mu*****ontrol a year from now (and many, many more years beyond that).

Pam ~ i didn't realize we had so mu*****ommon. When I read your post I was like............that's me...........that's me............insulin resistance/PCOS etc.

QOTD ~ Now I chew my food so I'm learning how to eat again! I think this helps with my success.

When nothing else could help................LOVE lifted me!!!!

Had plain decaf this am as I kept the grandson overnight and his Mom came to go shopping with us at 8:30.
QOTD-Like Nancy and Bev, I'm new to WLS.  I know I am very aware of fluid intake.  I don't every remember being concious of what I drank before.
