Hi guys!
You know, I am much too lazy for this first poster of the day junk!  LOL

How was everyone's weekend?  Mine was good.  Finally got back to the gym, but now I'm really sore.

So here's my QOTD-how do you make time to exercise?  I have to do it at like 9:30pm because of the kids and stuff at home.

Have a good day!

Hi Brenda and Michigan,
Thanks for being the first poster of the day. I'm trying to wake up with my cup of decaf. I had a cup of the regular stuff yesterday. Boy, was I jittery.
My weekend was busy, but nice. Had to serve at both church services and then do the big Easter dinner. Was nice to have everyone over...
QOTD-Being "under-employed" gives me lots of time to get my body to the gym. I try to do it in the morning like I did when I was working outside the home. The only time it is really hard is when I have to travel out of town for the job....
Time to get ready to go to the gym...

I was just going to give in and do a post, but just as I did one last check to see if anyone posted yet, there you are!  YAY!

My weekend was good.  Didn't really do anything special or out of the ordinary.

QOTD:  I don't.  I used to go to the gym every day (or at least every other).  Did that for a few years.  Fell out of the habit a while ago and just haven't been able to get back into my groove.  Then I got preggo and well, that just put an end to any notion of going to the gym.  Not that it should, or that I couldn't...just didn't.  But hubby and I have plans for after the baby comes.  He's gained all the weight with this pregnancy, so he's very frustrated about that.

Enjoy the day!  Tina

Good morning MIchigan
Im  drinking plain water this am.  Ive put on 15# this winter and most of it is gonna come off this spring!
I had a lovely weekend.  went up north to spend with the family.    Each family gathering is kind of bittersweet for us because we wonder if it is our last with my folk who are in their mid 90s and just love our family get togethers.

QOTD    Exercise   YUck!   I honestly dont exercise  never have.  have major back issues that translate into major hip pain when I do.  but I am starting to go walking more.  that doesnt hurt much and stops hurting fast and it is exercise so I am going to do it!
 Have a good day everyone.

Easter sure wasn't much of a holiday-no flowers, no eggs, no baskets.

I try to walk every day to and from the structure to the hospital-about 3/10 of a mile each way. And I make myself climb the stairs-five flights at least.  It's a free form of exercise so I can build it into my day and not have to take the time to go to a gym.

Good Monday Morning!

I walked a 5k on Saturday in Flushing - it was nice to get out and enjoy the fresh air.  I spent my day at work yesterday.  I have next weekend off and get to spend it with my son and granddaughter so I'm already rushing the week.

QOTD: I try to get in 30 minutes a day.  I'm not a freak about working out but I don't feel right if I don't get some movement in.  I have horrible arthritis and the less I move the worst I hurt. I have made a commitment to myself to walk a 5k each month through October so that will keep me moving.

Enjoy the sunshine!

Good morning all!

After a weekend of gluttonistic abandon ... I'm back on track with some healthy food today.  I slacked off too much this weekend with other stuff too... so now I have a pile of homework that needs to be done that I should have already gotten started on over the weekend.

The Bay City support group meeting is tonight.  If anyone wants to joins us, let me know and I'll get you the directions to Lori's house.

QOTD -- I just joined the Crim Training program AND the Flint Support Group (FABS) is doing an unofficial Crim Training too.  So I'm committed to Tuesdays with Crim and Thursdays with FABS plus another 4 nights a week of maintenance homework walking.  I also signed up for the Extention Training program with Crim that'll get me ready for a half marathon in October.

I also made the commitment to myself to do two races per month between March and October ... 5k, 8k, 10k, whatever.

It took me a while to really figure out my workout attitude though.  Working out at home just doesn't happen.  Mornings also don't happen for me.  But if I change my clothes at the office and strape on walking shoes.... then stop and do my walking on the way home (usually at Genesys on their nature trails) I can be pretty successful with staying on track.  If I don't stop on the way and just say I'm going to walk when I get home, I don't do it.

I can't work out at home, either.  When I'm home there are just TOO many other things that "need" to be done.  So it gives me a good excuse to NOT workout.  But when I'm in the habit of going to the gym, I do just fine.  We have many trails here at our house, too, that hubby, dogs and I will walk in the summer and fall.

Morning All

My weekend was very nice and not long enought.  My 5 year old had the flu on Friday, but I got him better enough to do an easter egg hunt on Saturday.  Bit of a disappointment, apparently it got over advertised, kids were walking away with 2-4 eggs each if that.

QOTD - I am alot like Brenda, with home and kids and work, it is very hard to schedule time for me.  I walk about 2 miles or so on my lunch hour.  I just bought a pilates and yoga dvd that i am going to do after  my son is in bed - 9:30 ish.  I am shooting for 2 -3 days a week.

Hope everyone has a sunny day

Pam

Hey all,

Wow what a busy weekend!  I had the 3 days off and enjoyed each of them to the fullest.  I hope you all did too.

Q:  When I began this journey I thought if there was a time in my life that I could slack on  exercise now was the time to do it, or at least until the weight loss slowed down, then I'd hit the workouts hard and loose the rest of my weight. So I started exercising 4-5 x's a week around mid January and in the last 2 weeks I've lost 4 lbs so my plan seems to be working!!  I actually enjoy exercising, not every day, but most days I enjoy it.  I'm also mixing it up like I've never done before and that's really helping.  I hope I can keep this up because I really do feel so much better when I  exercise.

Have a great day all,

Edie
