I thought it was weird when my hubby had rice with milk and sugar, but he explained it away as it was a big family breakfast.  Cheap in other words.  he still likes it to this day.

We had it in place of cereal as a kid.  I thought it was awesome.  Tried giving it to my kids once, didn't work out.

He eats it as more of a dessert item.  Sometimes cinnamon sprinkled on top

When we ate it, it was for breakfast, too.  I would put butter, sugar and milk on it.  LOL!  We also ate "hearts of wheat" (co-op version of cream of wheat).

Decaf today.
Easter used to be a real big deal, but since the kids are grown and on their own it's just another day (except the celebration at church)  We usually go to our place in Interlochen for the weekend, but this year hubby has to work and I have a doctor appt with my pcp.  I want to talk to him about how he and the surgeon coordinate my care post-op.
My boys just let me know that they'd all be over for Easter and what are we having?  I'll decide tomorrow I guess.  Last week I made ham and scalloped potatoes so I don't really want to do that again so I told them we'd have golabki and they complained that's not an Easter meal.  Spoiled kids..
Well, I think I'll surprise them.  Maybe we'll have tacos!

Good Morning everyone.  I had one cup of coffee and now I am on my water. It looks so beautiful outside, I am going to grill for dinner. We are going to my oldest daughters for a dinner on Saturday and then I will be hosting Easter dinner on Sunday. We have to eat by 1pm on Sunday as my oldest daughter has to take my granddaughter back to EMU after dinner. I'm making ham, primerib, potatoes, sweet potatoes, veggies, a salad and rolls. My daughter is bringing dessert. I love to cook but hate to bake. Enjoy your day!

If we stay home, our menu is almost identical to yours.  Do you do the no peak method on your prime rib?

I had some Caffeine Free Diet Coke this AM at 7 (I know, bad!) and now I'm on water... I'm still trying to work on cutting all the bubbly stuff out.

Easter is actually no big deal for me and hubby since we don't celebrate it. His parents do, though, so he's trying to talk me into going over there on Sunday and hanging out with everyone, but I'm not too keen on the idea of hanging out with my mother in law all day. I may stay home. I'm still not sure yet.

I'd REALLY like to stay home in bed and catch up on my sleep, but that won't happen anyway.
