Happy Thursday Coffee

Since my daughter works on Sunday I will go to her apartment to have "taco night" with her, her boyfriend and his five year old son.  Of course I will take Easter baskets for them, since the bunny will mistakenly come a day early to my house.  Then on Sunday I will go to my brother's house for dinner-just him, his wife and me since both their kids have left Michigan.

The holidays sure aren't what they used to be back when moms didn't work and kids always came home for the holidays.

Hey Judy,

I would rather have a Taco Easter meal over the traditional ham one anyday.  Ham kills my pouch.  Yesterday I had brats, and that hurt too.  Like a brick in my chest.
Thoughts become things... choose the good ones!

No way....their bacon is the bendy smoked kind.  Not the yummy crispy kind.
Plus they have borscht (sp?).  Ick.

Water is in my cup this a.m. I'm ready to get this weekend started! I'm off Friday/Monday! Yippee!

QOTD ~ Well, tomorrow my church has a "good Friday" service that starts at 11 a.m. On Saturday, my immediate family will be over helping me get ready for the big "EASTER" dinner that will be at my house for the first year. I am so excited about it. My hubby and I will dye some Easter eggs with the kids and do a huge hunt on Sunday after we come from church. My hubby and I really sat down and asked our children what they thought the holiday meant. It was great coming from 2 5-year olds. We did explain to them what it means for us. It was great and I'm excited about this weekend. Thank God I'll be off Monday to recuperate!

When nothing else could help................LOVE lifted me!!!!

Sipping a little coffee...got up late so having a s/f Vanilla Latte from McD's, but I'm pretty much done with that.  Drinking my water now, too.

Loving the weather this weekend.  We usually go to my hubby's aunt's house for dinner (I look forward to his aunt's chicken and dumplings once a year...yummy), easter egg hunt for the kiddos, etc etc.  That's probably all we'll do other than hanging out at home....still finishing up little things around the house.

I'm just looking forward to having next week off for Spring Break.  I had originally planned on flying to AZ for part of my break to visit my sis, but those plans had to nixed, for now.  Hopefully, I can make the trip sometime after the baby comes.

Enjoy this beautiful weekend we're supposed to have!! Tina

Morning all,

Coffee is long gone and have finsihed 32 oz of CL green tea.  Love the peach mango.

QOTD - not sure what is going on at my house.  My parents usually have Easter, but they are not.  We were going to go out for Easter brunch, but my hubby has had the flu and not sure if he will be back on solid foods by then or not.  The doctor suggested the BRAT diet to recover - Banana - rice - applesauce - toast.  Well he hates bananas, will only eat rice covered in sugar and milk, hates applesauce and wants his toast dripping in butter.  Since no dairy it cuts butter out.  He has been one grumpy man.

The first time I ever ate rice with milk and sugar on it, my hubby thought I had gone nuts!!! He had never seen or heard anyone do that.  LOL!  Same with the first time I ever BOILED a hot dog.  His family had always microwaved them.
