Tuesday Morning Tango!

Good Morning!  I got a good night's sleep and a shower this AM....at my sister's house.  Although I think it might've been warmer at my house with the power off.  She's like me PRE-SURGERY....ALWAYS HOT!!!  So, I piled up with blankets and slept with flannel pjs and 2 long sleeve shirts!!  Our power is supposed to be on tomorrow at 4.

I do have Good Friday off!  YAY!  Can't wait.  Next week is Spring Break.  For Easter, we always go to my husband's aunt's house for a MASSIVE meal.  It's crazy!   Other than that, we don't have any other plans.

I would like to go to TN to see my mom, but hubby doesn't have Monday off like they used to so it's too long of a trip to make in 3 days.  And I can't go by myself, like I normally would, right now.

Brenda, my brother has chickens, too.  AND they just got 40 more chicks....they are in his basement, right now.

Good Morning Brenda and everyone,
Just got back from the gym and having my kashi and yogurt..

Today? Sam's club to get my eyeglass prescription filled and see how much their spiral hams are for Easter.

QOTD-Working at home this week, but the work is really scarce lately. So, I get Good Friday off. I used to work for a Catholic hospital and you don't get Good Friday off.  But, a lot of people would take a couple of hours off to go to Mass or a service.
It's Passover this week, as well....

Morning all,

Finishing up some herb tea and moving to my yogart and fiber one.

Today is a quiet day.  My boss is really quiet because State lost last night and he didn't get home until 2 a.m.   But he enjoyed the experience.

QOTD - the Mall is open on Friday, so I will be here.  We do close on Sunday though most all malls do.  Three days a year - Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I am sure it will be quiet and my boss usually lets us go early.    No plans for Easter - except finding my MIL a good ham dinner.  My parents aren't doing anything, and my MIL said that she would prefer to go out, so I thought I would ask my parents to go with us.   My son told the easter bunny no candy in his basket, he would prefer toys.  I am glad I haven't bought candy for him.  He is not a big candy eater anyway.  Probably some tootsie rolls and bubble gum and a couple of toys.  My neice bought him chocolate dinosaurs, so that is cool.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Pam

Good morning all!

After 4 long months on a plateau, this morning's official weigh in showed a 1 pound loss!  I'm a happy girl!  Just hope it continues to move down the scale and doesn't get stuck at this spot for another 4 months.  LOL~

QOTD -- I work for the government so Easter is the one holiday that we don't get anything off for.  I guess I can't complain because we do get a bunch of other holidays off that most other people don't.  I mean... who gets President's Day and MLK Day off?

I don't have any specific plans for Good Friday.  But for Easter we gather at my parent's house for dinner.  I guess this reminds me that I need to call my Mom to see what she has planned and what I can do to help out.

Sending Sunshiney Thoughts to all.  Let's just ignore the snow and hopefully it'll go away soon.

Oh Pam.....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!   i bet you jumped up and down when you got on that scale and saw you were down a pound!  Here's hoping it keeps on moving......down.... :-)

I was on a stall last week....I started getting the 'newbie' attitude of questioning if I was doing things right, or did the surgeon even do anything b/c after two weeks of losing, I just stopped....I'd be up .3, down .5, up .8, down .2    OMG....frustrating!!  Then yesterday I got on the scale I was down 2.0 and today sown another 1.0  -  Whew......I think it's gonna start moving again.  My 6 week check up is next week, so lets hope for a good loss the rest of this week and next.

Thanks!  I do feel great about the loss.  I think it's directly related in my change of calories.  I'm going to keep doing this routine to see where it takes me.

Congrats on the loss this week!  It's pretty normal to stall for a week at a time in the early weeks after surgery.  Expect another one around the 3 month mark.  In fact, my body settled into a pattern of 2 weeks of stalling and losing several pounds the 3rd week, then back to 2 more weeks of nothing.  That went on for several months, but once I figured out the pattern I didn't freak out as much.  :-)

See you Monday!

Good Morning everyone,

I will keep it short today. Yes, I have to work on Good Friday! Why? Because my boss is a heathen, and a hieratic in the eyes of the Catholic Church in which he was raised.

Hi everyone!

I am drinking my morning protein shake and sipping on water.  I was in a stall last week and very frustrated but the scale has started to move again - thank god.  Edie warned me about we 3-4 that would happen, but it was still discouraging.

QOTD:  Yes I get Good Friday off as a paid holiday.  I work at Dow Chemical Co and it is one of our paid holidays so I'm looking forward to a long weekend.  My daughter is coming home from school (She goes to EMU in Ypsi) and I'm anxious to see her.  We normally go to my parents for Easter dinner. This year all my sibblings headed south for sping break so no one is coming home for Easter....so it will just be me and my kids going to my parents for dinner.

Have a great day everyone!

Mornin.....

Had my coffee protein drink and now working on my Skinny Water.  I think I'm really liking the Skinny Water - Raspberry Pomegranate.

Good Friday is not a day off for us.  Doc will be in surgery.  I do have it off because that is my normal day off.  I will be working Saturday.  In Canada - the whole dang town shuts down.  My first year there, I couldn't believe it.  It was like a ghost town.  Of course, Tim Hortons will be open - I think that's it.  Think I'll have Easter dinner at my house in Windsor.  Thinking I'll be doing a prime rib roast.

Have a great day everyone!
