Tuesday Morning Tango!
Good Morning!
I'm at work, drinking water and eating honey roasted soy nuts.
What's everyone up to today?
QOTD-Do you have "Good" Friday off? Why, or why not? If you don't celebrate Easter or Good Friday, does it bother you that people ask you what you are doing for these days? If you do celebrate, what are your plans?
Have a splendid day!

I didn't answer my own QOTD!
I do have Friday off. My boss (the VP) is Catholic, and to her, that is a holiday. So we're not working. She doesn't understand that not everyone considers it a holiday. She still thinks UPS and the post office don't work on that day.
We are going to my sister's in Battle Creek on Friday. She is getting chickens to raise and we're supposed to go out there and pretend we care LOL Sunday is dinner with family.

No holidays off for me-I work in a hospital and nursing is a 24/7 operation, so someone has to be here. We are down to 6 real holidays and two floating holidays per year, and usually rotate who actually works the day. Those who work get holiday pay. I think our actual six holidays are January 1, Memorial day, July 4th, Labor day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We have a Good Friday service here in the chapel which I hope to attend. My daughter works every Sunday, so not sure yet how we will celebrate on Easter. I need to find a good church though, if anyone has suggestions in the canton area.

I go here, and I love it. The Easter service is spectacular! It is a giant church, but it's very welcoming.

You go to Northridge? Every time I drive by there, I think maybe we will check it out, but it's kinda far for us. Just this past week, we got a flyer for that church. Hmmmmm....maybe I'll tag along with you someday. Is it denominational?

This is going to be a multi-answer post!
Northridge is a non-denominational Christian church. It is big. That's why I started going there. I didn't like going to small churches where people would call Dave my husband when we weren't married. When I corrected them, they would just give me THAT LOOK. I thought I would go to Northridge and blend in with everyone else. I was baptized there in 2006. I fell while I was in the baptismal pool, btw. And they have you on the big screen all over the church. It was kind of funny. Anyway, they do have small groups you can join if you want to get more involved. Easter service is more of a "show" with lots of theatrics. If you like that kind of thing then it's really cool.
Pam, I was so happy to see that you are moving. Here's to smaller numbers!
Pam E-our mall never closes on Easter! In fact, I had to run to the little hardware store down the street here and they have a big sign that says Open Easter Sunday 9-3. That surprised me! But I think most places in this area keep regular Sunday hours. Which I love. Because I don't like most Easter food so I stop for a bean burrito on the way home from wherever we go! LOL

Ok, so I grew up going to church every Sunday but my hubby did not. Not that he doesn't believe in God, his family just didn't go to church. Anyway, we would like to find a church but just don't want to go somewhere where we'll "stand out"....like in a little church. So Northridge has appeal for that reason, plus the non-denominational part. I was raised in a baptist church and after I got married and moved out, my parents switched to Apostolic Pentecostal.
