Good Monday Morning everyone!
Waking up to a blanket of snow on the ground that looks pretty heavy. Hope your morning commute isn't too tricky today.
Where did the weekend go? Had a good weekend. Pug group and line dancing-life is good.
What's in your cup this morning? Decaf and black, my standard this morning. Then, it's off to spin a little later than usual because I didn't want to travel the roads so early before the snow plows
QOTD: What is your favorite food since you began your weight loss journey? I never thought I would like protein bars. But, I really love a brand from Premier Nutrition called "Twisted". They have chocolate, caramel and pretzels. So good and no funny taste. They are like a candy bar. They are tough to find. Got addicted to them when I could get them at Sam's Club. But, now I can only find them on-line.
Oh yes-Go Sparty. It would be good to see an underdog win the Final Four

Good Morning Deb,
Well, we got hit with some snow!  The good thing is....this has to be ONE of the last snow storms of the season, right?

I'm drinking water and trying to wake up and start the day at work.

For the QOTD-sorry...boring answer.  I don't really have any favorite foods since surgery.

WIth all the hoopla about basketball today, don't forget our Tigers!  It's the season opener in Toronto tonight.  Go Tigs!!!

Hi Brenda!  Me and You are so going to a game this year.  I saw Sheffield tiger shirts at jcp, but heck they were at full price still!  When a player joins the Mets, shouldnt his shirts go to atleast 1/2 price???

That's why you never buy a shirt with a guy's name on it!  You never know what's going to happen..........  Oh wait.  I did buy an Al Kaline shirt.  That's a pretty safe bet.

Any time anyone wants to go to a game, let me know!  I'm too much of a chicken to drive downtown, so I only go when DH goes.

There is a good pic of Miggy's tattoos in this month's Hour Detroit magazine.

Happy Monday Deb and Brenda!!!!!!!

I am SOOOOOO Happy I don't commute that hour any longer!!!! Yay Me!  My little one is on spring break this week, so me and her will hang close to the house.  Deb, the way you exercise is so great.  I envy your dedication and motivation.  I find myself saying, its too cold out, i am too tired, blah blah blah, just excuses.  And lets just say not only would I benefit from exercising but a certain four legged white menace would too....  one week and counting since his last run....

QOTD:  Oh come on!  If you dont know my answer by now, then you really Dont know me at all!!!!!

I HATE MICHIGAN'S WEATHER!!!!!!  Sigh....but I can't move.  If Ford closes or let's my hubby go, we are OUTTA HERE!!!  I can teach ANYWHERE!! Michigan has reciprocity with just about every state out there when it comes to teaching certificates because MI has higher standard/requirements than most other states.  There's a teacher shortage everywhere BUT MI. Ok...enough...I'll just sit here and complain and be miserable, until the snow melts.

We got at least 6 inches last night.  It was still snowing like crazy when I left this morning.  Our power went off around 3AM and isn't supposed to be back on til 11 tonight, IF there aren't any further problems caused by the wet, heavy snow.  So no shower this AM.  Luckily, I had ONE PAIR of maternity pants dry. The others are still in the washer because my comforter wasn't dry last night when I went to bed.  I woke up late.  Got around as much as I could in the dark, with a flashlight.  I have bedhead and no lunch.  It's supposed to KEEP snowing today and we're supposed to get like up 10 inches!!  My only refuge is my sister's house (she has as much snow as us and lives in Oakland county where they are supposed to get much more, but she has power) OR a hotel tonight, with the dogs.  Hmmmm....we shall see.

Favorite food since surgery....my favorites have gone in spurts.  I used to eat South Beach protein bars like crazy, until I grew tired of them.  I never really got into protein drinks.  About a year after my surgery, though, hubby and I got into a habit of eating grilled chicken salads for dinner EVERY NIGHT.  We love salad.  Is it my favorite? No, because I'd much rather have a thin crust, veggie pizza over salad any night!  LOL!

Please make the snow go away!!! NOW!!! Tina

Tina, my niece is a fairly new teacher.  I think this is her third year, and she is down in Wilmington North Carolina and loves it there.  She has to work two jobs to make ends meet but she is finishing up the national certification exam and should know by November if she passes.  Then she should get a little raise that will help.  Once my daughter is out of school I am probably out of Michigan too, because like most young professionals, she wants out of MI, so I will follow somewhat reluctantly.

QOTD-My favorite food has become fish-in almost any form. Yesterday at Target I found these 6 ounce packs of pink salmon packaged in foil for $2.17.  I am going home to make a salmon patty tonight.  Yum!

I lived in NC when hubby was in the army for about 2 years.  We liked it there, but at the time couldn't wait to get back to MI to be near family.  20 years later....family spread out and we keep wondering why we are still in MI?  We're in the minority, right now.  His job is keeping us here.

I always get emailed job notices from NC.

Good Snowy Morning Michigan!

The drive in to work wasn't very fun today.  Hopefully they'll be clear for the drive home this evening.  I've got the Hurley Support Group meeting this evening -- if anyone's in the area, it'd be great to see you there!

QOTD -- favorite foods?  Either Tortilla Pizza or Protein Hot Chai Tea --- at least those are the current favorites.  It tends to change often.

Had a good weekend playing with my camera.  It's been too long since I've taken some time for myself and just went out to get some shots.  And I actually did it two days in a row!  Here's a couple of my favorites below.
