I have a date!!!

I had my second appt. with Dr. Genaw this morning.. and my date is.... drum roll please.... June 22!!  I am so excited!!!  I was hoping it would be a bit sooner- but I am thankful!!!  I will keep everyone posted!!!

Congratulations. The date will get here before you know it.  You are in GREAT hands with Dr. Genaw and Henry Ford, if there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Geez, that means mine won't be until August.  I have my first appt with Dr. Genaw on the 22nd.  I can't believe they're booking 3 months out.  Do you have to lose more weight before then?  What did they have to say?  Did you meet with the bariatritian?  Tell me all....

I'm so glad i have a date- it is so exciting!!  My appt was at 9am, and Wanda told me they would be booking into August by the end of the day- I guess what happened is they had one of their O.R. days taken away from them, so they are only doing the surgeries 2 days a week now as opposed to 3.  Sorry- looks like I am making your day again!!  Because of the change in days- they are gonna be booking quick...

I don't have to lose more weight beforehand.  I did well with my weight loss.. but I know I will lose more, especially doing liquids only that last week.  It actually went pretty quickly.  I got there, was weighed, saw the med student, she corrected my "test'.. I got 100%  :)  poked and prodded at me... Dr. came in... .looked over my xray, EKG, bloodwork... talked to me for a bit-- and then the nurse came in- went over procedures with her.. she sent me to Wanda- we officially booked the date- and then I went to the Library and went over some more papers.. took my paperwork downstairs and that was it! 

I would suggest that you keep calling to move up your appt... I called everyday 3 times a day when I was trying to get an earlier time... be persistent... any other questions- give me a shout... we leave tomorrow for Florida for a week or so... so I will chat with you soon... take care..
