Thursday Morning Toast!

Hey, where is everyone?  Deb must be at the gym.  I wish I was!

Nothing new here this morning.  How are you guys doing?

I am eating cottage cheese for breakfast.  I think it's one of the few cheeses I don't like.  But, gotta get that protein, right?

Here's a QOTD for you-and you can get as personal as you want:  If you have a significant other, how have things changed with them since having surgery, or deciding to have surgery?  If you don't have one, will you tell any future prospects that you had surgery?

Not much has changed for me and my DH.  He was my fiancee when I had surgery, and we got married about a year after surgery.  He's been totally cool about everything.  Doesn't mind my scars and bumps and hanging bits (at least he's smart enough to not say anything).  He is getting sick of me talking about calories and weight gain, though.  I will admit, I do talk about it a lot.  So maybe I should watch that!

Have a good day y'all!

Same old, same old here, too.  Counting down the days until Spring Break.  Can't wait to sleep in!

I am drinking water this AM.  I was bad and didn't bring anything to school to eat but a couple of s/f puddings.  I haven't decided what I'm going to do for lunch.  Probably salad from the bar on the corner.

QOTD:  I really don't think anything changed with me and hubby, relationship wise.  When I had surgery, we had been married 15 years, together since we were 16.  I was 140 pounds when I met him many moons ago and was 335 when I had surgery.  So he's been through every stage of weight gain and loss along the way (and I his).  Never complained, never commented beyond just wanting me to be healthy.  So, it's all good!

Enjoy the day!  Tina

Salad bar on the corner....or bar bar?

Actually, I was thinking about your DH when I posted this question.  He's such a good guy and you guys seem to support each other no matter what.    Everyone should be so lucky!

It's a BAR bar.  LOL!  But they have REALLY good food!  We order there all the time!

Awwwwww...thank you.  My DH can be a sweety.  He does have his moments, though.  Don't get me wrong
.  However, he is VERY supportive.  Always has been.   I do feel very lucky to have him!  There are lots of good guys out there, though!  I'm sure I'm not the only one!

Tina, your marriage sounds like it was made in heaven-good for you.

I have been doing a little on line dating since having surgery-I am more confidant about meeting someone as a size 14 rather than a size 24.  But no sparks yet.

Hello Brenda and everyone,
Thanks for posting this morning! I was up earlier and tried to boot up Internet Explorer on my computer and it wouldn't. I was afraid I got that Confiker virus. So, I thought I'd deal with it after the gym. Got home, rebooted and it seems fine. My virus scan says no virus. Wheeeew.......
Cottage cheese was my breakfast, too. Never my first choice but it's protein.
QOTD-Things are for the better since surgery with my DH. I feel I can cope better with stress since surgery and that impacts our relationship. He's been through a lot of weight sizes with me and has always been supportive. He was more reluctant with the band surgery, but now has seen how good it was for me. Our love life is much better as I have more energy for it. He still doesn't understand why no caffiene and carbonated beverages.  But, that's about all.....

Hi All,

Deb motivates me to get my butt out of bed and into the gym; so this morning "I did it". I was at the gym at 6:00 a.m. Whew.

QOTD ~ I've been married for almost 14 years so like some others my husband has experienced the weight gain with me. He is my biggest support system and honestly nothing has changed. Our love life has gotten better because I have more energy. So, it's all good!

YOU GO GIRL!!! Good for you going to the gym bright and early. I really like going early. It is said that people who exercise first thing in the morning are more likely to make it a habit....

Morning Bren!

Okay, all you go-by-the-bookers won't like what I had for breakfast....  2 chicken wings and about a half a cup of spagetti-o's.  MMMMmmm....

QOTD:  My DH was very supportive of my decision to have surgery.  I notice I am now a lot more vocal about my opinions than before.  I think the doc attached a pair of balls to me when he was in there....
