Tuesday Morning Coffee

Good Tuesday Morning Michigan!
Hope everyone had a good start to their week. Here we are at the last day of March. I'm ready for April and spring
What's brewing this morning? Sitting here with my decaf and black trying to wake up. No early AM workout as I have to help my youngest go and get his car to the shop. Will hit the gym later.
QOTD: Have you hit a weight loss plateau, how long, and how did you deal with it? I've hit a seven month long plateau of a one pound weight loss which I think I've finally broke. I decided to start rejournaling my food, limit carbs, and bump up my exercise. If this happened prior to my WLS, I would have given up and started regaining. This seven-month plateau has been frustrating, to say the least, but I didn't gain at all, just stayed consistently at one weight. I really started to pray about this and I think He listened. I weighed this morning and I'm starting to go down.
Have a good Tuesday!
Deb

Morning Deb and everyone , Coffee never tasted so good as it does this AM. I'm going to work in the barn today ...putting my tools in my new tool box I got back at X-mass.

QOTD....... Yes, I think that we lapbander have more plateau then RNY's . Becouse of or needing to be filled and the slower weight loss in the first place.. Just keep doing what your doing and sometime in the years to come we will loss the weight.

The band is a tool and a slow tool that you really have to work hard to win...  25% of the Bands have other surgerys for weight loss in 3 years

                                                            Have a great day

Good Morning Deb and everyone!

Hey guess what?  I'm at work, drinking water!  Who would've guessed!  Just kidding......it's the same thing every day for me.  I did take one day off over the kids' Spring break, so that will be nice.  Then I will have something new to report.

I need to get back to the gym.  I haven't been since before my TT.  DH is in school at night, so I haven't been able to go, but he's done soon so I can start up again.  I did take the dog on a quick walk/jog yesterday.  The weather was so nice at 7pm!

Hope you all have a good day!

Hey Everyone!

Been a busy couple of weeks for me so I have'nt posted much... I am drinking my usual crystal light, and just ate my muffin. Heading out in a few for some errands and then we have our first half of our homestudy visit today... Then tomorrow I am heading up north to see my Mom for the day.

QOTD: I have'nt hit a plateau but I have gained in the last year. When I did hit plateaus I just changed my exercise or my diet and sometimes that helped. Also once you get so far along after the surgery I think your body just decides it is time to stop losing. The Dr usually told me not to worry about it to much.. Especially if I was longer than 18 months out from surgery. The honeymoon period is nice, but in the end you still have to work at things. I hate that my life will always be obsessed with food and worrying about my weight gain or loss. I try everyday not to focus on it so much and just live... I think that some people go from being addicted to food to being addicted to diet, and what they can and cannot eat after the surgery. (sorry if it hurts anyones feelings but it is the truth... transfer of addicition. It is a reality)

I hope everyone has a great day and gets to enjoy the sunshine that is out there today.

Suzanne you are totally right.  I feel that way about myself.  Like I can't stop thinking about what I'm eating or doing or I am going to gain too much weight.   It's horrible!  I had this surgery so I could quit thinking about my weight!

Good luck with your home visit today.  I know you'll do great!

I know I am trying not to obsess about it.. just do whatever I can.. and as long as I am healthy and not going 200 pounds I try to be okay... It still bugs me everyday. I think it is our "fat" thoughts ya know.

Suzanne - you couldn't have put it in a better way.  I am in the same boat with you.

Good Luck to you!

Much better!  Thank you for asking.  My coworker held the fort down so it was not so overwhelming when I came back to work like last time.  Just getting back into the routine of things.

Good morning everyone. My kids are home all week too.Today my youngest is getting his first pair of glasses so that will be my morning.I agree with Suzanne.I have transferred to the addiction of what I can or cannot eat.I am happy I am more aware of it though instead of eating whatever I want like I used to and how ever much I wanted.Have a great day everyone and watch out for the April foolers.
