I watched the light show last night, I thought I'd get to bed early but was still up at 3am.  Lot's more water on the ground.

I had Jody's decaf and vanilla protein powder today.  Reminds me of the days when I used flavored creamer.

QOTD-Too soon to tell for me.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Morning Shannon Bananan,

I love thunderstorms!  We had quite a bit of lightning here last night.

Today is more Spring cleaning and work around the house.

My answer to the QOTD is the opposite of yours.  I wish I felt like I even HAD surgery.  I'm totally back to "normal" now, and long for the days of feeling full.

Have fun at the craft show.  I haven't been to one in a long time.  When the kids were little it was a fun way to spend an afternoon just walking around looking at stuff.

Morning all,

I had a really rough night w/ reflux.  This is the 2nd time it's happened, and it is far worse than anything I had pre op.  But I'm going to guess since I now know I  have a mass (diaphragm or hernia) pressing on my stomach and lung it makes sense.  But man it sucks,  I was up from 2 to 5:30 because nothing helps, water, tums, yogurt... so I listened to the rain and the boomers for awhile, totally miserable and it isn't really letting up so far today.

Anyways, Q:  I guess what happened last night is one thing I wish I could take back.  I also would love to be able to eat some things in larger quantities, but I guess it's the larger quantities that got me in this place!  I also miss Advil, and ice cream (my pouch is not really fond of it ).

But I'd do it all again in a heartbeat!

Try to have a great day,

Edie

I had really baddddddddddd heartburn before surgery and none since....I thought you couldnt get heartburn anymore???  Do you have an ulcer?  Taking prevacid daily? I hated getting woken up at night with that nasty burning taste in throat that wont go away!!!

Brenda- You cannot eat normally again in the same quantity...least I hope not!!  Maybe a little more but not like before surgery???

I was on way home and it started snowing...grrrrrrr

Shannon,

I was dx'd with a mass last week that's either my diaphragm slipping/moved or a hernia.  I have had a cough since a cold in Jan. and finally went in to get it checked out, they did a chest x ray and saw a mass that's pushing on my stomach / r lung area.  I'm having a CT scan on Wed. so they can see exactly what it is that's there.  But now that I know somethings there it's explaining allot of other little things...like why I  haven't been sleeping well (I sleep on my stomach), not being able to take a full deep breath at times, the cough that won't go away...

But this "heartburn" for lack of a better word, there's pain, just not as burning as it used to be, but nothing helps it, and I mean nothing.

So as much as I don't want surgery, I want this fixed.  I'm just extremely bummed that I'm probably going to have to have surgery again!

Shay-
I can eat WAY MORE than I could immediately post-op.  I don't know exactly how much I could eat if I really wanted to.  I have to stop myself from eating after I have a "normal" portion of something.  The thing that sticks in my mind is I went out to lunch and was talking and not paying attention.  Before I realized it I had eaten an entire sub, a bag of chips, and a big azz cookie and not been uncomfortable.  Obviously that was a rare thing, but I can eat a lot and not be full.

RNY on 10/21/08 with
Good morning!

I'm drinking my decaf with choc protein and a drop of mint extract.  Had some WLS pancakes for breakfast with sugar free jelly.

QOTD - I'm not really sure what I'd change.  I can already eat 4+ ounces at a time, I don't miss sugars - one thing I do wish is that we malabsorbed carbs

I'm loving my RNY and wouldn't change a thing!  I'm learning how to eat right, exercise and my lifestyle has adapted accordingly.

We've gotten 6" of snow - so far.... saying we could get up to 10"
