Dr. Michael Schuhknecht/Lakeland Bariatrics

Anyone have experience with Dr. Schuhknect ? He is now with Lakeland Bariatric Center in Niles, MI. I have seen him and staff, but I haven't seen any other postings lately.

 Great guy and great surgeon!!  I think it's a shame he left the metro detroit area, but our loss is your gain.  I did have a follow up appointment with him over in Niles but didn't really see anyone but him.  I'd recommend him with no hesitation!

He did my friend's RNY back when he was still at Harper Hospital and she thinks he is a saint,as does everyone who ever worked with him.  I would have used him if he was still here in the area.  I think you are in great hands.

I have a friend who works in his office and she sings his praises.  I'm going to start attending their support groups next month.  Good luck to you!

Dr. Schuhknecht was my surgeon and he is a really great guy. I wish he was still in the Metro Detroit area. It's been hard to find another dr as good as him in the area. I wish him the best.

I second everything everyone has said! He is great and I wish he did not leave us over here!

He put my band on (roughly 5 years ago) and he was great. I have since had the band removed and went to RNY but would recommend him in a heart beat.  Good Luck.

Thank you for your commen, It's reassuring,  I think I've found the right surgeon for me.
