Hey ya Bev,
Almost to softs.. Good for you. THe nutritionist should give you a great handout with lost of recipes- I will look and see if I can find the copy I have and send it to you. There are days when soft foods still just seem to be the answer for my "yucky tummy." Two of my favorite suggestions:
Fage yogurt- 2% or fat free- great amount of protein amounts(definelty mix it with somethings)
Cottage cheeses with a little meatless marinara on top(kind of like a pasta-less lasagna)
I will look for the list and email it to you..
Congrats.

The old favorite is refried beans (I just pureed black beans in the blender) heated up with some cheese and ff sour cream. I added just a tiny pinch of chili powder (not spicy) for flavor and did ok. Some people have a hard time with seasonings so be careful. I was ok with eggs right from the start and ate soft scrambled with cheese.
Here's what I usually give for suggestions:

Ditto, Brenda wrote me the same info and the above was my staples. I also baked potatoes and made my own mashed with sour cream & milk. Potatoes is something I didn't allow myself before and I will give back up when I get real food again but, I am enjoying while I can.
Love eggface. I was so happy Brenda gave me that link. I have it bookmarked.

My hubby and I love carbmaseter yogurt from Kroger.
One of my fav's during this time was egg drop soup. I jokingly call it egg fluff soup. It gives you wonderful salt (which I never craved before surg. but can't seem to get enough of now!) The way I cooked it was to put 1/2 c of chicken broth in a sauce pan, and take it to a boil, then slowly add 1/4 to 1/2 c of egg beaters, the difference between it and egg drop soup is ALLOT more egg, so ALLOT more protein. It ends up looking like scrambled eggs in chicken broth soup so, it looks a bit yucky, but it was my FAVORITE thing, for a long time.
Good luck,
Edie
