lapband to VSG? VSG docs in Michigan?

I am considering getting rid of my lapband and going with VSG. I had the lapband done at Barix in Ypsilanti.

Who in Michigan is doing VSG at the moment?

Are there anymore barriers to climb when you go from one from of bariatric surgery to another?

Sorry the band did not work for you... It takes alot of work on are part since you can cheat .. Ice cream amd sweets and all that bad stuff.  You will not be able to do it as much with the VGS ...
Hope you turn your life around and find help and a good Doctor to do this for you.

I am asking for people who have had the VSG to reply, not people who are going to discuss "cheating" with the lapband, I found your post particularly unhelpful.  Believe it or not, not everyone does well with the band, the band does not work for every person who gets it.

Rose-Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids does the sleeve. Dr. Kemmeter & Dr. Foote both perform it & I know for sure that Dr Kemmeter does revisions from other surgeries. 1-888-691-0050. You'll probably have to go to an orientation. They're very helpful w/insurance & any questions you might have! Good Luck!!

It's going to be hard to get insurance to approve it if you are below 50 bmi, but a lot of people on the VSG board has gotten it approved after appeals. I am going to fight because this is the surgery I want!  I met Dr. Pop once and he seems really really nice...so far. LOL

Not sure what my BMI is, I lost inches and not much weight, I have co-morbidites.
