Hi All,

I am so excited! Today I am officially 6 weeks out and I'm feeling great. My clothes are starting to get big on me but I really don't want to buy many new clothes until I reach my goal. Nevertheless, I stopped in Dots (which I never do) to grab a "short jacket". I went in the store and automatically grabbed the 3x and a girl in the store said, "I need a 3x not you". So, I was wondering what she meant..........Nevertheless, I tried on the 2x and the cashier said, "it's not suppose to fit like that; it's too big on you........now try this one on". It was a 1x and I told her immediately, "I can't fit that" but she insisted so I tried it on..............I COULD FIT IT!!! I never would've thought I would be in a 1X again.

~ thanks for letting me share; it's hard sometimes to tell other folks that still struggle with weight but I feel free to share here.

That's so cool!!!!!!!!!
Make sure you are taking pictures of yourself and write down your weights.  This time next year you will want to know where you were at each stage.

You know what this means..............you are almost in the land of "regular clothes".  Yeehaw!  Glad you shared with us!

You should be excited!  In just six short weeks you've made amazing progress! Back to a 1x is great progress.  Think of how you'll feel when you're down to a 14 and buying all those cute clothes.
I know what you mean about being able to share here.  I feel my friends are jealous that I've qualified for WLS and have taken the steps to proceed.  Here, everyone is or has been in the same boat and understand.  I truly appreciate the people on this site.
YOU KEEP GOING GIRL!!!

Hey Honey,

Great job!!!!  It just keeps getting better and better, enjoy it, you deserve it.

Just a few ideas for cheap clothes.  TJ Maxx, Costco and thrift stores.  There are a couple good thrift stores I have found in our neck of the woods that I like.  And trust me I never thought I would go to a thrift store.  I just make sure to look at the clothes very  closely and wash them when I get home.

One is on the north/west corner of Auburn and John R, that one has allot of stuff, but does have a bit of an old closet smell.  The other one, and this one is the bomb, is on M59 between Lakeside mall and the VanDyke freeway.  If your heading east on 59, it's about 1/4 mile east of VanDyke on the north side of the road.  There's a Pet's Mart in the same plaza and Home Depot is behind it.  Look for the Lexus dealership, it's right behind that.  That one is amazing, really amazing.  Everyone I have told about that one could not believe how much it was NOT like a thrift store.

Almost everything I wore this winter was from thrift stores.  I bought things that still had tags on them.  It really saved me allot of money.

Again congrats   on your new size,

Edie

I'm so happy for you.  I remember those days.  Trust me, don't buy too much - it will be too big before you even get to wear it sometimes.
