Nope.  Not ok to add anything until your doc says it's ok.  Usually that's at your two week check-up, but yours could be different.

I know how tough it is, but you're almost through!

What Brenda said.  Don't do anything without the ok of your doc/nut!!!!  Your body needs time to heal and eating the wrong things too early can create very serious and potentially fatal complications.
We've all been there and it sucks but it is really a short amount of time (even if it doesn't feel like it now).   Compliancy , Compliancy, Compliancy -- that is the key to healthy living as a post-op!

HI Bev!  Hang in there.  I was told at my nut class to try to get your 2 week a little early.  I had mine 2 days before my "day 15".  They Ok'd me for the cottage cheese-small curd, than.

DONT do anything without first consulting your Docs!!!

only being 9 days old, it could create fatal complications, like Sax said...

just as an FYI, it can take up to 8-9 months for you to heal on the inside from your surgery... they will burst if your not careful!!

You can do it, we have ALL been where you are hon!!! your SO close to real food... but call your Docs if you can keep any food down....

Did they give you a schedual of when you get to add what?  Are you suppose to be on the products until the 26th?

I feel your pain!  I called my NUT on day 13 and said I could not handle one more thing to drink.  She ok'd me to move on to pureed.  Maybe you could call and ask?
Other suggestions are:  give yourself different textures.  Freeze some sf pudding in to a pudding pop.  Make your protein shakes like slushies instead of smooth.

I don't know if this is ok for you or not, so read through your stuff....but I read a suggestion online to heat up Campbell's cheddar cheese soup that is thinned with a lot of milk and add a dash of chili powder.   That would give your tatse buds something different to work with.

I felt like such a cheater because at 12 days out I grabbed a handful of cheerios and chewed them and spit them out.  I had to chew something!!!

Good luck!

Oh my gosh!  It was torture!  But I was so scared that I would have to go to the ER and explain why I couldn't have enough self-control to not eat Cheerios!
