Hi Kelly,
I love South Haven, too. Clementines is wonderful and is still there. I did the Kal Haven Trail Blazer bicycle ride one year. We started in Gobles and went to South Haven. It's a gorgeous trail on that end. We went downtown South Haven afterwards and went for a bite to eat at Clementines.....
Can't wait for good biking weather and getting on the Kal-Haven

Just got back to my desk after solving an IT crisis ... and now my coffee is cold.  I hate that!  Oh well, I needed to switch to Crystal Light anyway.

I hit the nature trails at Genesys yesterday after work for a beautiful walk/run.  I would have gone longer but I had to pee, so had to get home.  LOL!

QOTD -- If there's sand and water, it's my favorite spot.  My exercise goal this year is called "Traveling Race Mania" --- so I'm doing at least two races a month (5k's, 10k's, whatever) but I want to hit races all over Michigan for either a long weekend away or spending the day at a beach somewhere after the race.  I'm still filling out my schedule. So if you know of any races in your area and you happen to live someplace great... give me a holler.  :-)

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

Morning Michiganders and fellow losers!!!
I'm enjoying Caramel Creme' coffee with protein this morning and looking out my kitchen window at the sunshine.  Saw numerous Robin's yesterday so that's a sure sign of spring to come when they show up!!!   I'm not sure my plans today.....I'm thinking about going for a nice long walk!! (making sure I take along my MP3 player!) Anyone got any dogs that need a good walk?

QOTD:  I love several places in Michigan:
My Mom's in Presque Isle, near Lake Esau and Lake Huron, I love Mackinac Island, Grand Haven and Michigan Center!!!!! Everywhere there is water, a lake, I love it.  I'm a water gal!!!  Especially on a jet ski!!!  I hope to be spending time at the first two some this summer and taking my BFF there and her DH too!  She went last year and we had the time of our lives!  (except Mexico is hard to replace when it comes to Michigan- can't beat 79 degree weather in February!)

Hope everyone has a beautiful day!

I am with you Tina, anywhere along Lake Michigan is fine with me-Grand Haven, Sleeping Bear, Silver Lake, Traverse City.  Love the water, sand, trees and slower pace.

Afternoon fellow Michiganders,

I enjoyed yesterday too, I took a nice long hike at Independance Oaks, the only problem was when I encountered a creepy guy, but he did make my time improve!

QOD: Wow, there's so many.  My love of the state is what brought me back here from Phoenix.  My family has had a cottage on Secord Lake in Gladwin since I was 10, so that place has a special place in my heart.  But since I've come back to Mi. I've discovered the west side of the state.  I love Grand Haven, Saugatuck and all the southern small towns and wineries, we also love Travers City, Petosky... and a few years ago my hubby and I spent a week in the UP going to all the waterfalls we could find.  I just love the beauty of this state!

Hope everyone has a great day.

I spent alot of time out side yesterday, what a lovely day it was!

QOD; My daugther and other friends like to go to a RV place by Port Huron.  They spend long weekends there.  They also like to go to Great Wolf Lodge.
I like to spend the day walking around Frakenmuth.  Other than that we don't get away in the summer, to much farming going on.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

We camped at a KOA near Port Huron once, it was really nice.  We had a great time, but the kids got the stomach flu, so we left really early Sunday morning (as soon as dawn broke!).  They started tossing their cookies at 3am Sunday  thanks to the neighbors who all had the stomach flu a few days before.  Sorry if that's TMI.  But..... the campground was really nice (I'm a woose need showers and toilets )

Tawas or Oscoda Michigan is a beautiful spot to go.  I go there every year and love it  to death.
Its beautiful in every season.  Its on Lake Huron.  Cold Cold water even in the summer but very refreshing.    Check out the chamber of commerce for this area.

And yes finally!!! some sunny days.   You gotta love it.
