Good Morning Everyone in Michigan!
What's in your cup this morning? Ran out of beans, so I need to get to the store, soon,  to brew my usual decaf a little later this morning. Going to a cardio class, first, at the gym. I think that's worth a cup of coffee.
Have you been enjoying our spring? What a glorious St. Paddy's Day it was. Did you get outside at all?
QOD-Where's your favorite Michigan get-away spot? Could be for a day or a few days. Trying to boost the local economy this year and vacation close to home with short, mini trips. The DH and I love to spend a day at Saugatuck walking through all the shops and stoping at the wineries to sample in town. We, then,  usually go to Oval Beach to watch the sun go down. This is our favorite mini-vacation.

Morning Deb and all,

Nothing in my cup yet, still trying to wrap my head around a revised eating plan the doc gave me yesterday.  I am looking forward to seeing the results.

Ihave enjoyed the spring. Yesterday I had to drive to Ypsilanti to Barix, it was nice to drive with the sun roof open, and cool air vents on.  I was amazed on how many motorcycles were out already.

QOTD - Favorite spot - We make our way around Michigan to most every zoo in the state no matter what size it is.  Having a 5 year old that loves animals, we take one long weekend a month and go to detroit, lansing, battle creek and grand rapids.  Then we frequent the smaller zoos on day trips like saginaw, birch run, deer acres in pinconning and small spots like that.    This year we are taking one of our long weekends to Toledo to the zoo.  We may take another and go to Marineland over ty Niagra and there is a African Lion Safari over there too.

Have a great day all

Pam

Morning Deb,

I am sipping my melted crystal light Slurpee from last night.  I will get some h2o shortly.  I did get outside yesterday.  I started the day by drenching my dog in sunblock.  He is a white boxer and is prone to sunburn.  Then we played in the hose for a bit.  When my little one got home, we played 'golf' in the backyard.  We also tossed the squeaky ball around for Leo.  We did go to the Nature Center, but it closed already, so that's our plan for tonight.

QOTD:  My most favorite place - In the arms of my love <3   Second to that - ANN ARBOR.  I love to spend the day there.  So much to see and all the kids having fun on campus.  Its invigorating, like a Pepsi commercial.

Had my coffee around 6, so now onto my water for the day.  Coffee and water....that's about all I drink.

After school, today, I am going RIGHT HOME!!! Do NOT pass GO!  Do NOT collect $200!  I JUST WANT TO BE AT HOME!!!

Yesterday was beautiful.  Took my class outside for the last 30 minutes of the day.  It was worth it and they needed it.

My favorite Michigan get-away spot?  My backyard, Baw Beese Lake - where we keep our boat in Hillsdale and ANYWHERE along Lake Michigan.  We live in the Waterloo Rec Area, so our 2 acres is surrounded by 22,000 acres of state land.  We have a pool and a big azz deck.  Our backyard is completely secluded and I only have a few neighbors.  So, we do a lot of relaxin' on the deck in the backyard.

Enjoy the day.  Tina

Good Morning!  I'm at work eating frut salad and drinking water.  I'm so glad it's Wednesday and not Monday!

My favoirte place to be is downtown Detroit for a Tigers game, casino, and greektown.  As you might have noticed, I'm not an outside kind of gal, so up north and lakes and sunsets and all that stuff just doesn't do anything for me.   Every year my family plans some kind of up north get-away and I say I'm going to relax outside but usually spend the entire weekend looking for "town".  LOL

I hope you all have a great day!

PS-I made a  "sauce" for my fruit last night.  SF vanilla yogurt, lime zest and juice, ginger, and sf honey.  It's so good!

Happy Wed MI - whew!  hope I can get through the next two days...  alarm went off this morning and I felt drugged I was so tired.  Still haven't been able to shake that, "let my eyes close" feeling!

I'm with Brenda - not really a nature person here...  so, favorite place in MI to get away...  maybe Twelve Oaks??  (Briarwood is only about 10 mins from me, but 12 Oaks is so much bigger!)  ;)

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I just ate my muffin and I am drinking my tea now... I took the day off to get some painting done upstairs in the other bedroom. It looks dreary outside so it is good weather for painting. I enjoyed the weather yesterday it was soooo nice out!

QOD: I have been alot of places in the state.. we camp... but so far my favorite destination has been along Lake Michigan.. Where we camped at we got to see the sunset and when we slept we hear the waves crashing along the beach.. It was so peaceful and relaxing... I hope we can go back there again. This year we are hoping to go to Ludington, and in the UP somewhere.

Have a great day Everyone!

Good morning, I am sipping away on my ice water, trying to wake myself up a bit.

QOD: Our favorite place right now for a get away is up on the Hardy Dam (newaygo county). We have a site up there for the summer and have a pontoon that will be on the water for the summer as well!! Cannot wait! Deb- I have heard that South Haven has a nice little downtown area. I have been to Clementine's? Not sure if it is still there, but it is a nice restaurant in the downtown area.
