Friday the 13th Coffee
Have a cup of Biggby decaf hazelnut at my side as I type.
I had my Friday the 13th last Friday, it was the day from hell. This morning as I got out of my car I found a $20 bill on the floor of the parking deck. I notified security because that is a lot of money to lose in this economy, but if no one reports it missing, its mine!
No superstitions for me. I believe in the randomness of the universe, not luck or divine intervention. I don't like self-help books, but the book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" helped me get perspective on the randomness of life. I don't think things happen for a reason, I think we find meaning-either good or bad- in the things that happen to us.
OK, I am getting way too heavy for a sunny Friday AM.

Working at the mall, you would be amazed at the things that get turned in to our lost and found. Currently in the last 30 days, we have had a 50 prepaid credit card, various denominations of money, wallets, purses etc and they seem to just go unclaimed. I currently have a large black garbage bag in my office just of the coats, hats, mittens and misc junk that gets turned in. We keep it for 30 days and then I take it to Goodwill.
You may be $20 richer.

Well I am drinking my delicious Tim Hortons in Canada. Slow start this morning on my day off. Yesterday was a stressful day with too much drama for me. I don't get freaked about Friday the 13th but I guess I have a few superstitions. Like I won't put my purse on the floor - means I'll never have any money. New one I heard is, never buy a man a pair of shoes - he'll walk out of your life. You know, that could be a good thing....lol.
Today I'm taking my older daughter to the doctor - she blew out her knee in gym class and is on crutches. She seems to still be in a lot of pain. Kids start March break next week. Oh joy!
Full moon? I definitely think people get weird.

Hey all,
I just had a yummy lunch of egg salad because of all the talk about eggs here lately LOL.
Q: I don't really have superstitions, but I don't disregard some of the biggies...you know....just in case LOL. But there is definitely a correlation in the changes of the moon. I've worked in Dr.'s offices for over 24 years and we always notice a change, after a few strange calls, or people being more snippy than usual, one of us will say, "is there a full moon or something" and usually there is!
As for plans this weekend, I am definitely getting outside to walk. I can't wait to get to the park!

Happy Afternoon everyday!!!
I am just getting home from work and lunch. I worked at the schools today and it ended up landing me an assignment at the school later in the month for 4 days so I am thrilled about that one.
I have no superstitions. I have two black cats if that tell you anything.
This weekend I am heading to Joann's tomorrow with my friend, and then coming home to work on the house somemore. We have to get our bedroom moved by Monday.. I just hope we can do it.. I am tired of the chaos that is our upstairs. LOL
